Hi Michel, thanks for taking us along for another vlog. I saw some of the comments about Jordy being rude about your almond milk endeavour and you spoke about people wondering about your health in relation to you living in San Diego… giving them the benefit of doubt, I think they genuinely just worry about you because they care. A lot of us have accompanied you when you were with your ex, when you went through your divorce and then rebuilt your life in Austin. I think people have - rightly or wrongly - become very protective over you and now that you are married, hold Jordy to a different standard. Jordy is not your ex and yet comparisons will be drawn. I have experienced something similar and my now fiancé still gets told by my gran to never hurt me - even though she loves him and he’s been around for 5 years. I think she as well as your followers come from a place of love and care. You and Jordy know what’s real and that’s all that matters.

You have done 2 very big life changes, move and get married, plus you have been dealing with other stressful events. Perfectly normal for these things to effect anyone. Be kind to yourself. Take time off life when you can and slow the pace. You are doing amazingly well. ❤

Michael, I turned 30 last year and lost a dear gf I hadn’t seen in 1.5 years bc she ran in a different “circle.” It taught me the hard lesson that I wish I’d invited her to more personal events, even if it wasn’t her “community,” to spend time with her. going forward, I invite friends from many different “circles” to my events. If they don’t want to come, they don’t have to, but they always do and many have become friends themselves! The most important thing is spending quality time together, not worrying about social “norms.” Don’t be afraid to build your own community instead of limiting yourself to finding one ready-made! ❤ Hoping your health improves soon! 🫶🏻

Super simple almond milk. 1 cup ground almonds (not soaked) in 1 quart of water into the blender. Add vanilla and honey if you want. Blend and use a nutmilk bag to strain. I make a quart a day. EASY!

I left all family in Philly, PA to be with my fiancé in San Diego. I was so incredibly homesick for the first 6 months and really unhappy. Now it's been almost 3 years and San Diego is now my home that I can't (at this moment) imagine leaving. We now purchased a lovely home in Del Mar and the beach is 10 minutes away. I'm glad it has grown on you too!

I found a site by a person called Detoxinista who turned her almond pulp into a homemade hommus by putting the wet pulp back in the blender, adding a half cup of raw tahini, 1/4 cup of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of ground cumin, 2 cloves of garlic, 1/2 teaspoon of salt, 1/4 cup of olive oil and 1/4 cup of water and blend it together, adding more water if needed until the texture resembles hommus. Hope this is useful!

Nice video. As someone who also deals with autoimmune issues, I understand how different factors can trigger a flair. Weather, changes in environment, stress, just to name a few. After a while sure your body eventually adjusts and settles, but at first the flairs can be brutal. But you know your body and what you need to do to help it. And you have all kinds of support which helps.

You’re one of my favorite people to watch on KZbin. As far as your health goes and the comments - you know what is actually going on and what you need. This is a busy part of life and you can’t see stress. You’ve already expressed you plan to slow down and take the efforts you need to. I would also consider the amount of changes your body is going through currently. Going off birth control can be a really difficult transition especially as you get older and your body and hormones are naturally changing. I took birth control for years until one day I decided I wanted to stop and when I did I think I cried everyday for a month before then getting on a strict diet to help balance my hormones. I’m ultimately just saying to everyone in the comment section if you know someone who is getting off birth control, be gentle.

Michel, a few vlogs ago, you mentioned that you really didn’t much like having to follow directions/measure ingredients when you cook….is that an issue now that you are in culinary school? Could you share some information about which program you are in and the curriculum? By the way, I started watching you back when you were doing unboxings and still acting. The difference between that Michel and you now is astronomical! Past Michel seemed very buttoned-up, mousy and timid (to me anyway) and would never have worn the amazing wardrobe you do now. I may be completely wrong, but I really like the Michel now because you seem so much more happy, confident and outgoing. You have always been beautiful, but now you seem to glow and radiate confidence and vitality. Hugs to you, Jordy and Max!

All the house updates are so exciting! Random question, that might seem a bit weird.. your lupus rash on your neck, does it hurt? I’ve gotten a mysterious rash on my knee the last couple of days and from what I can see it looks quite similar to that. It really hurt at the beginning, but now it’s gotten a little smaller and doesn’t hurt the same. Just curious from one girl who has struggled to get a diagnosis for health problems to another🙃 Have a relaxing rest of your weekend!! 🤗

I also have lupus & used to get the same type of rashes that Michel has & I don’t know how Michel feels, but I can honestly say that the ones I used to get hurt a lot. I have been very blessed that my lupus has been in remission for the last five years, so I haven’t had to deal with any rashes, but I used to get them on my face as well, & I couldn’t put make up or anything over them because they would burn. I only got rashes on my upper arms, chest, neck & face & never on my legs or knees.

Hi Michel. Just thinking about things that helped my son when his eczema was bad that might help your heal your rash or at least ask you doctor if it might help. The best thing was Lansinoh nipple balm for breast feeding. Sounds weird but worked every time. It's just plain lanolin but always helped within 2 or 3 applications. If you aren't allergic, it might be worth a try. It won't help prevent new rashes but might help heal them sooner.❤

I thought it interesting watching you make the almond milk. If you continue to make it, please look into sustainably sourced almonds. The California almond industry, which produces about 80% of the world’s almonds, unfortunately plays a significant role in the overall decline of the honeybees population. This in turn impacts many others. I’m not trying to bash the industry but raise awareness. You have a platform where you are able to be a role model on topics that many are not aware of and thus create a chorus to inspire change. ❤

Hi Michel. I love your channel. I know it would be a big leap. But if you tried whole real foods only, for a couple of weeks, you might see your symptoms improve. Unfortunately, that means no fun treats for a couple of weeks. A whole foods approach has helped me. I rarely eat packaged or prepared foods. My health improved. Formerly, my diet was similar to yours. I totally quit the Thrive Market treats. I eat mostly proteins. Vegetables are good for too. I know you are coping well with your symptoms. But getting rid of what I call “healthy junk food” for a test, might be worth a try. Best of luck and thanks for the great channel.

So couple things. First I think you should go with the modern funky laundry room. Seriously, who wants to do laundry? You might as well make it fun it in there. Also, instead of painting the fridge, you may want to try using a funky patterned peel and stick wallpaper. I also never thought that California was causing the issues. You sincerely seem happy there. I know I mentioned it before, and you probably have already checked with your doctor about the neck. But I got such a close look at it on this video, and it really looks identical to what I had on my neck a few years back. I don't have an auto immune disease. It was just a skin infection, and my doctor gave me an ointment, and it cleared it right up. I am not a doctor not pretending to be. However, when you mentioned in the other video that it really hurt, it might be something similar to what I had. I only mention it because I care, be well. Side note the whole interaction with you and Jordy when you were making the almond milk was adorable.

Hi Michel, thanks for your Car chat! So glad you are enjoying where you are. So lovely and caring of Jordy to say: just say the word and we will sell the house and leave..❤. I'm sure with all the legal stuff of the house etc that has weighed you down a lot...and not being able to talk about it on here.. God bless you both every day! ❤❤

I too had a bad allergy to cedar while in Austin. Had allergy shots for over three years plus Texas politics are despicable. Glad to be out of Texas.

Omg yes! A sit down with a lawyer would be so informative and important. My daughter and her friend left their promised retail job paychecks to follow a “Best fried “ to open a new cafe and after three and a half months of non payment the friend fired my daughter because she go a complaint… it’s just weird and my husband and I habe worked in banking for a combined total I’ve over 50 years and we don’t want to take over… anyway yes answering questions for those that don’t have or know of it’s worth paying for help and or if they have a case… so anyway… yes to your brief question.. lol😅

I am a OG Osider who remembers Hill Street and when you could cruise the strand from Wisconsin to North Coast Village uninterrupted. I unfortunately live in the Santa Monica area due to work and my life -limiting medical condition that requires a double lung transplant. I always thought that after med school and residency that I would be back in Oside, but it is not possible. I watched you sporadically over the last few years, but what made it a new regular was your move to Oside given how much I miss it. But I love you and your journey. I think that you have a lot of loyal Texas subs who besides loving you, loved that ❤you loved there and maybe colors and influences some of their comments. At the end of the day, you have to be where you and Jordy are happiest. It's your life and you can't live it for us. The bottom line is life has stress no matter where you live and that can influence your health, especially with an autoimmune condition, but you learn to manage it, you learn what your triggers are and like a plant, a little stress helps you to grow and bloom

Big life changes will definitely affect health! I bought a house and got married within 4 months and got shingles from the stress😅. Although it was a very happy time in my life, it was very stressful!

I totally understand your struggle. People just don’t understand what Lupus can do unfortunately. If you don’t get enough sleep…. you flare, too much sun….you flare, too much stress….you flare. I too get red blotches and sores my face, lips, mouth and eyes, sore joints and fatigue. I use Plaquenil as well and used to be on Methotrexate injections but found them difficult on my stomach. Do you take anything else besides Plaquenil? I am always looking for other Lupus sufferers take on the disease. Education is powerful.

One good thing about lupus and aging is that you often go into remission. I am 77 and haven’t had a major flare in about 10 years. I began taking Plaquenil in 1984. In 1991, lupus attacked my brain causing migraines and mini strokes. I was given masses doses of prednisone that caused so many permanent side effects that I refuse to take it now (diabetes, osteoporosis, anger issues, fat deposits that have remained even after weight loss, etc.) And I was also put on IV chemo for 10 years and oral chemo for another 17 years. Now I just take Plaquenil and insulin.

@@kathya9522 good to know, I am 63 this year so maybe there is hope for remission. I have been struggling for about 10 years and was hoping retirement would ease the symptoms. I had a very stressful job that I loved as a Captain in a maximum security jail for 34 years. My rheumatologist believes that my Lupus was caused by the stress of my job.

I loved watching you make almond milk ❤ idk why I just did. As someone who has a bunch of health issues and has moved to a bunch of different states, your health can be affected simply because you moved, or due to your body acclimating, etc. Also, you just did a bunch, and that's exhausting.

I'm so glad to hear you found a trustworthy lawyer to help you. When you briefly mentioned you had electrical issues etc with your new home i was getting concerned that you had been ripped off. I'm sure now that the house issues are resolved and you are past all the stressful events (miving, wedding, etc) your lupus flares will settle down. Get well and enjoy life.
