Hi! So I had a really bad acne breakout like 2 summers ago now and I didn't go to a dermatologist bc I honestly have never had good experiences with them. You can definitely try but they just prescribed me way too harsh medications so here is what I discovered. The biggest thing that was hurting my skin was my makeup. I had very clogged pores which created these tiny bumps ALL over my face. I made sure any foundation and concealer, and powder I used were oil-free AND non-comedogenic. I use the clinique foundation and concealer 2 in 1 and their pressed powder. Next, I decided to stay as consistent as I could with my skincare. I started using micellar water instead of wipes, cerve foaming wash, and AHA toner by glossier (I've heard Paula's choice version of it is better), cerve moisturizer, and a benzoyl peroxide spot treatment. Everyone's skin is different but this is what worked for me! I tried to keep it as simple as possible but still have some strong acne-fighting ingredients. YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL NO MATTER WHAT and I hope this helps!

Hi girl! On top of hormonal acne and having out of balance pH, it could also be the new water that your apartment complex uses. At my old house I had well water and then I switched to city water. This caused me to break out badly until my skin got use to the new water. I hope this information helps :)
