I am testing one of these tomorrow at mototechnic in FTG. Thanks heaps for the informative review! it went for a while but i was never bored throughout! Great stuff. I think you should have given it a bit more at the Ozone in Knox.

Wouldn't mind trying one sometime! Though I am looking more towards 700cc-1000cc bikes now, just counting down the months!

Hey, I loved it. As you said it got a bit rough down low in the revs. I really liked the gear changes to be honest. I'm not sure if their demo is set up diffently but it felt awesome. I also tested the cbr500 today and to be honest the cfmoto was way ahead in terms of power, maneuverability and fun in general. The CBR was a lot smoother in its power delivery. I have the hard choice ahead of me now!

I wish someone would do a review like this for the naked hyosung gt650 lol. Thanks for the review, quite informative.

I will be doing a follow up review in the this week hopefully just looking for some nice weather so watch out for that. The bike has had some electrical issues since and the speedometer dropping out completely, they also seem to have new models now with black subframe and new primary colours. Personally I would consider the CBR500R now that is out and a similar price :)

great vid mate ive got one of these the black model done about 1300km so far its my first bike im 6ft 2in so wanted a bit bigger bike to do my l and p's on was looking at a Hyosung once I rode this bike I decided to go with this bike instead of the Hyosung its a great bike and as you said heaps of power and plenty of power have had no problems so far only a few things like the speedo etc but nothing major its all about the feel and ride and the bike does it for me great lams bike fun fun fun
@pipboychronicles11 жыл бұрын
Yeah it is an impressive bike for the money, certainly was for me! Not sure why I didn't like the gear changes, could be that I am just so used to the positive shifts of the VTR's box, just felt weird for some reason. You are right about the power, astonishing that it is learner legal!

Things I like about my bike are: looks, power, comfort, handling and price. Things I don't like: gear shift throw from 1st to 2nd is too far (any other change I don't notice though) The fuel guage is very inaccurate, the speedo seems to be out a little bit, the dash is very simple (not even a trip option for example) 1st gear is very snatchy under throttle. No ABS. Overall it's a very good bike, the negative aspects you can deal with and the positive aspects more than make up for the negatives
@spatulaz11 жыл бұрын
Also I don't know how it could possibly be lams approved. So much power!!
@nickkermode70719 жыл бұрын
Fantastic review mate. Bought one of these last week, Learner rider. Fun for me and enough power for this period. Agreed with the gearbox as it takes some getting used to, a tad clunky but still for the price/looks/power it cannot be beat in my opinion. Going for a new muffler to get rid of the, 'car box' style and she should sound great. Keep up the good work.
@spatulaz11 жыл бұрын
If you get the chance get on a CBR500 and give it a try. I had to go to freestylehonda in frankston (yes I did triple check my car was locked) The guys were great and the bike really does have great merit! I am leaning towards the CFmoto. Simply because it is unique and I was very very impressed. The only issue I have is getting things done under warranty. I live a long distance away.

Having a cfmoto 650nk - i have to agree with almost all your opinions.... although having bigger feet than you gearing isnt a issue my end, but power for a LAMS bike... not sure who passed it lol. I'm 6'1, 120kg - and it pops up the front wheel in first and second at speed if i sit casually lol..

I watched it. I watched all of it. That was an excellent review, I am going for my L's in this first quarter of 2014, and an ad on Bikesales got me checking out the 650TK, then I saw the 650NK, and now this. Great work mate, was good for me as a novice to just watch what it's like riding around, regardless of the bike under review.

Yeah my speedo is rooted. Jumps from being around 80 down to mid 50s then up over 90 then levels out abit and then jumps up and down again. It seems ok upto around 70 anything over throws it out alot. I need to get it looked at but for the moment I'm just going with traffic flow

mines done nearlly 2400k's - zero issues... all brands, makes, models sometimes have issues.... luck of the draw with anything these days... those issues should still be covered by warrenty aswell..

My mates 650nk just hit 15000 ks and the only problem he had was the passenger seat fell off it runs well for a Chinese bike
@gregwolfofwoywoy50467 жыл бұрын
Had the same issue. Pillion seat fell off in the first week. Other than that, an excellent learner bike for reasonably tall people.

Did you ever get to GPS the speed, and compare it to the bikes speedO ? It seemed like it was running way fast by the speedometer, when compared to the cars & ect. Never seen one in person, as of yet, but it does look like copy of ER6n thou. Thanks. yl
@pipboychronicles10 жыл бұрын
The speedometer has been ok lately, hasn't had its next service as of yet. I would say its more an issue of the "dealership" not knowing what they are doing aswell.
@ylism10 жыл бұрын
pipboychronicles Thanks for the reply. I have gps all of my bikes, and they all seem to be fast..lol faster than the true speed there going, just wanted to make that a bit more clear. My SV650 is about 6 mph faster than the gps at 55-mph speed, and my Vulcan EN 500 ltd is a little less. As you probably know already, it depends on the tire wear & size ect. So I am going to just use a gps for my speed, so not to speed, for the set speed limits. Thanks. yl

Can anyone tell me just how much work it is to shift this bike? and if i would be wayyyy too short :P appreciate it! :)

We both got our L's at the same time and I purchased a Kymco Venox - I've just hit the 4,000km mark and have no issues so I highly recommened going that for your first bike over this. No offence pipboy, but this thing is a lemon and a half!
@pipboychronicles11 жыл бұрын
Maybe because its A. Still bedding in / not my bike and B. Australia have no tolerance for speeding. I am not going to loose my license for your entertainment, don't like it then leave. I have "fun" in plenty of videos but this isn't one of them.
@hrgeguat556711 жыл бұрын
I am getting sleepy of watching. Dont know if this is the way you always drive, but whats the purpose of having such a motorcycle and ride it like a scooter. I dont think they have speed sensor every block.. to go that slow.
@DV-zv4ox11 жыл бұрын
*ALERT* Stay FAR FAR AWAY from Cfmoto and anything they produce. A friend of mine recently purchased this as his first LAMS-approved bike, and he's just washed his hands off it after only 2,000kms. He purchased it brand new and after such a short time was having major electrical issues. The tacho was temperamental after only 800kms, and at about 1,500 stopped working altogether. The mechanic also said there were valve problems which would require expensive repairs later on down the track.
@RY5LV811 жыл бұрын
Sorry to disappoint you Valentino Rossi. We'll flog a new bike, lose a licence and pop some monos just for you soon. We must keep the heroes entertained who jump behind a keyboard and mouth off.

The question is: how long will this bike last? 6 months or 1 year without problems seems impossible. I don't want to be mean, but most of chinese's stuffs are useless and trashes! :)
