nice clip bud massive vfr myself done plenty of miles on vfrs got 3 of them 2 750 models and 2015 800 model so says it all v4 power is beautiful these will run for ever god made these bikes.

If you still have the bike and haven't done it yet; change those pain in the arse mirrors for the later ones without the rubber boots that never stay in place. So much better and it's a plug and play fit.

Have to agree with your enthusiasm over its sound though mines got a carbon Arrow, have had my '99 for 12 years and added 96K for fun only kms with no intention to trade until it wears out, being a VFR suspect that'll take quite a while.

I have 2001 and went up 2 to 45 rear sprocket, yes more tourqe you'll like it. It's been advised not to change front because can cause premature ware. The longer I this bike the more I appreciate it , a great street bike.

I'm here 5 years late. I've got a '98 that's been fantastic except a few small flaws. But being 21 years old, it rides almost like new. Now I might need a thermostat so that's going to be fun.

My 2000 VFR 800 has 16,000 miles on it, bought 2nd hand, and it looks and runs like a new bike.

I love my '98 vfr. Bought it in Summer of '15. Pretty much stock. has helibars, battery monitor, heated grips. It has a ridiculous gray triangle that was painted by a turd. I hate that it was painted on. Mine is red though. Love the geared cams and the sound it makes.

Added a power commander to mine, gets a flatter torque curve from down lower in the revs.

Iv got a 99 vfr with 70k on the clock and still going strong. . Keeps up with the big boys lol.. what air box mods are you going to do??

Being in Oz you should have fitted a Staintunes full system. Lovely exhausts. The Delkevic exhaust is still a good sound. Would have been nice to have a high mounted can to show off the rear wheel and single sided swing arm. Did you go on to fit a power commander and then remap the engine to iron out the snatchiness of the throttle at low revs? Lovely bikes the gen 5 VFR 800.

Got a vfr 99 in the UK, I had to replace headlight and got one from Australia. It works great but it was a nightmare to get the right bulbs. I have remus exhaust. 👌

Delkevic exhaust are really good value for money.. Not many people know of them though

I have the 98 model with 166,000 klms. Still a pleasure to ride, does all the things as some of the newer models but you cant beat the RC45 engine with gear driven cams and a redline of 12,000 rpm. Raceteck suspension front & rear made a big difference. Remove the intake shroud on the air cleaner & the growl is just beautiful. Your vid through the mountains was great. Thanks & Cheers

Most likely, these bikes aren't very expensive used. I usually find them for around 2k on the classifieds.

I've just bought a 2000 one. I live in a hot country 40degrees c on a hot day. what temps are people running? any issues in the heat?

225 F would be the standard hot temp. If it is consistently over 225 F I would be a little concerned.
