Smoothie tip: I always add cinnamon and ginger to add to the overall taste. Turmeric is also great, as long as you have the other things to blend out that taste! Chia seeds and oats also help bulk out smoothies 😀

You look beautiful! So thoughtful of you to get that for your sister! You inspire me to be more generous & intentional♥️ Also, FANTASTIC idea to use your story to reach out to teens. Isn’t is wonderful how God puts it all together to make it happen?!

I personally think you need to experience personal growth a little more, and maybe find women bible classes, or join a divorced women group at church, before you start teaching or sharing with a younger group. I know it seems like you've gone through a lot the past 8-9 months, and that you've come far. But trust me, i was in your place once, and there is still a lot you will have to learn and experience on your own, some will be great things, some unfortunately won't be so great, before you'll be truly prepared to give and share your insight to others. You need to crawl before you walk, and it seems you are still in the crawling stage, where YOU need to lean on other women's life experiences first to learn from, as your own life opens up to receive more. There is a time and a season for everything.

You would say God sent that high school group to you, I would consider it manifestation. Either way, it was on your heart and it came to you as it was meant to. Money has been very tight here and we couldn't leave my husband's tires any longer but just didn't have the funds to do it. We were going to have to take on debt to do it. I had a heavy heart and asked the universe for help. We needed £370 and on Friday I received a tax return of £373, 1 month earlier than anticipated. It was so literal it felt like a huge reminder that the universe (or God) is good and there when you need it to be.

Because I'm so early, I hope you will see this, Michel. I just wanted to say thank you for some of your conversations about Christianity recently. I am a bisexual woman professor who studies things like environmental communication. I have been shunned out of the church many times, but seeing your views has been such a refreshing take. In fact, it has encouraged me to consider church again. So, thank you. So very much.

Sorry you’ve been shunned by the church, I’m a Christian and don’t believe humans are up to judging unless it’s inwardly judging ourselves and whether we are living out God’s amazing plans for us, His kids. Please remember the Bible verse, ‘God IS love’. He loves you like His favourite kid except we are all His favourites as He created us each to be uniquely us. Sending love from Scotland, lovely to read your message.

Don’t go back to religion which bases itself on 7th century scripture which has no place in the modern 21st century. All religions are outdated views of man’s first attempts to understand why we are here . They were the times but these days it’s an absolute tragedy that children are brought up by dogmatic indoctrination. Child abuse in my opinion . Think for yourself with science , reasoning and rationality . They so hypocritical religions , teaching love and respect but as soon as you don’t fit in , like your sexuality or you leave they become the opposite . Stay away from religion . I live my life as a humanist . Respect for fellow humans and animals . After all that’s exactly what we are , animals, mammals. Some are greedy , some territorial, some psychopaths but majority are caring and sociable . See religion fir what it is, controlling, manipulative, deceiving , changing scripture to fit their agenda . Good luck in your life and just being you with no shame . Stand up to oppression and don’t care what others think just because they don’t agree and because they have outdated 7th century mentality thinking.

one thing I will suggest as someone who was in a similar group in high-school: it might be more productive to ask them questions like "what do you want out of a relationship, what things do you think it's healthy to compromise on" etc and getting to the bottom of why they feel that way and exposing them to the variables that could come out of those situations. Instead of just telling them what not to do/what things you did wrong. I feel like teenagers have a lot of people telling them their definition of right and wrong and it gets confusing and becomes easy to just stop listening to everyone, leaving you to just go figure it out on your own. It would have been more helpful to have someone meet me exactly where I was and try to impart knowledge on the specific views I had through conversation rather than vague/generalized lectures.
@chrissiedcohen
@chrissiedcohen 2 жыл бұрын
To add….many of us thought we had it all figured out when we were teens. Someone telling us something different went in one ear and out the other. How many people were told they were too young to marry, to be in a serious relationship, to start a family, etc.? Sometimes it works out, but many times it doesn’t. Most people have to figure things out for themselves, teens are no different. If only we could impart our wisdom (I’m 51, though not sure how wise I am 🦉) on them, but that is where the lessons come from. Just my two cents.

I started watching you very recently and ever since I found you here, I keep thinking of how much I would have loved to have a friend like you when I was a teenager. You're such a wonderful person. Your idea of a girl group would be so benefitial. Girls need healthy strong female role models, just like yourself. I have so much respect and admiration for you! Can't wait to see you bring this to life someday!

I completely understand about learning to live alone. When i moved in my first apartment i would walk into my apartment and stand in the silence and then I’d run out the door snd go ANYWHERE!!! The crazy thing is I’m definitely an introvert! It’s a different kind of alone. It takes time, but keep doing you and pushing when it feels right and take a break when you’re overwhelmed! Gods always by your side! Bless you! Marissa

One thing I want to say is that there are no coincidences. If this high school group was on your mind for a while and if the same was announced in Church, it means that God really wants it and that he wants you to be involved. It’s a very good sign. You should definitely join in and share your testimony with others and also help others grow with you. Everything that happens in our life is always because God is preparing us for something very important. I have always felt that for my life. May god bless you and keep you, make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you. It’s a line from one of my favorite song that I listen on repeat very often nowadays. It’s a blessing on our family.

I'm a Christian, Saved and Born Again. And I was in my mid 30's when I went through a divorce in TX. I didn't have family nearby for support and it was the most heart wrenching and loneliest experience I ever went through. But I learned some really valuable lessons which is also part of my testimony. God is so AMAZING because He helped me through the toughest and traumatic moments, and He was always there for me. The Lord will never leave you nor forsake you. Michel, it is so refreshing to see you being completely honest and real as you adjust to being divorced, the single life and being candid on how you deal with the loneliness. It's really cool how the Lord laid it on your heart to mentor high school girls. You'll be such a blessing to them! You know it's the Lord when he brings things to fruition. Much love and blessings to you Michel for being you, and to all who reads this. The Lord loves you all so much. ❤️🙏🏻❤️

Your speech at the beginning about being anxious when you don’t have the social plans all the time and it affecting your self confidence hit home today. My rooommate moved out a few months back and we did everything together and now I rarely see this person and when I do it’s not enough time. I crave the constant interaction with the one person I have the most in common with. It’s so hard to find new people in my area that I have anything in common with let alone that much to where I’d even be interested in spending more than a few hours together.
