I read Slaughterhouse 5 many years ago it was triggered by the author's experience of being a POW during the bombing of Dresden. Not the easiest book to read but it is worth reading and will stay with you a long time after finishing it. So pleased you gave it such an enthusiastic review.

I'm strictly physical with my drawings, so it always seems like magic when I see you finishing yours 😆. So impressive. Everyman's editions are my preferred ones, if I like the translation. I've been leaning towards Oxford classics lately (they have the complete Zola). Or Library of America for certain authors.

My Vonnegut experience began with the publication of Breakfast of Champions. Another favorite is Cat's Cradle. However, for you may I suggest Welcome to the Monkeyhouse, which is a collection of short stories with - to my mind - wider appeal than the others.
