Amen Debra, I am a retired ER RN, lost all my savings for retirement in Stock market downfall, on SS so buying serums that are 120.00 or more a bottle just empties the pockets and we are the generation who needs it the most... we want our skin to be as healthy/ nice condition as possible for our age. As many others have mentioned...I wish to thank you also, for helping us with your medical knowledge and advice for those of us on a strict budget. I worked in the health field for many years 30 to be exact.. I retired from working ER, ICU, CCU as a Nurse and lost my retirement funds due to some stupid mistakes, and am on SS... the Physicians I respected the most were well educated, loved teaching and sharing knowledge but had a big heart and loved their patients ....those who would give back,through volunteer work,sharing knowledge,or on occasion in ER we would get people ,who we knew, it was a choice of going without food that month, or buying the prescription drugs they needed...so I would ask the ER Docs for samples to help the patient out,most all were happy to help !! My daughter suggested I look at your channel and I'm so glad she did! I'm 58 with mature skin, but still acne prone. I have learned the hard way that being post menopausal doesn't mean you have to use face cream. I have tried several and they all make me break out. After watching a few of your videos, I see that it's ok to use hydrating gels on mature skin. (I used to think they were only for the younger ladies) Neutrogena seems to work well on my skin, so I'm going to try the Hydro Boost gel with Hyaluronic Acid. Thank you again! Hopefully soon my skin will be back on track.

I'm in my 40s and still struggle with acne and oily skin. The Aveeno calm and restore gel moisturizer recommended by Dr. Dray is one of the only ones I've tried that does not cause more acne or irritation. It doesn't have that heavy, greasy feel and absorbs quickly.

As for the Vanicream SPF Lip Protectant, I am so bummed it has been discontinued! Because of your recommendation sometime ago, I started using it around my eyes, very hydrating and non-irritating! Since there are so many comments here bemoaning the fact that it has been discontinued, we should mount a concerted effort, let's all contact Vanicream to make our disappointment known; power in numbers! Let's convince them to bring it back!!!!

Tip: store your markers and felt pens tip-down - that way ink will saturate the felt tip, and it won’t dry out (as per my illustrator/daughter)

The Aveeno gel moisturizer you recommended is perfect as it doesn't cause breakouts or make my skin feel overheated. It also works well under sunscreen, tazarotine, makeup, etc.

Here in Utah, it's just rain in the valley, snow in the mountains. I know this is a 1st world problem, but I work at a ski resort and today I'm looking at a 4 hour delay to get home from work due to the snow.

@@celinepope oh my gosh I was just thinking the snow must be beautiful, as long as you're sitting at home near the fireplace or playing a little bit out in the yard. Travel and it is not good so do be careful. We rarely get snow in the Carolinas but once many years ago it came down fairly heavy while I was at work and the governor did not suggest that we exited our jobs and a scattered way and my employer would not let us leave at noon so what would normally take me 25 to 30 minutes to get home actually took me 2 hours instead with many times having to exit the car to clear the windshield. I think I could have walked home faster than that but I sorta wanted to have my car with me!😂

I love a glossy lip blam spf and my favorites are from cay skin (sephora) and jack black lip balm (ulta/sephora). I love your pen collection, you have to do a pen tour one of these days lol I have been getting more into stationary, journaling and planners..and you gotta have the right pen! I couldn't imagine not ever using moisturizer, I moisturize my entire body on the daily. Right now I'm using the Josie Maran argan body butter for my body and the cerave with spf for my face. I'm so glad I started wearing sunscreen and now I can't imagine being without it. And that's thanks to you! Before I thought sunscreens were chalky and irrating but glad to see they've improved alot.

I make my hand a cupped "C" shape and actually lift my elbow in scooping fashion to wash under my chin / neck area. It's proven to be effective for me in getting off the product 😄 especially because I apply moisturizer on the neck area every morning and night.

What do we do to protect our hands in the winter with handwashing and dry weather? Should we reapply sunscreen on our hands if we aren't going outside with bare hands? Moisturizers with spf seem kind of drying compared to cerave moisturizing cream or neutrogena hand cream, for example. Should we layer? Every time? Confession: I use my facial sunscreen on my hands in the morning and that's it.

I've tried the EOS mineral slip SPF, and I found it drying. I didn't love the application and sometimes-white cast or short longevity of the Vanicream one either. My favorite is the Sun Bum mineral SPF 30; no noticeable white cast (on me at least, fair olive skin), it's moisturizing and it stays on well--kind of the best of each of the first two..and middle ground pricing, too.

I don’t know if the Clinique Moisture Surge is a gel moisturizer but it does feel like one. It reminds me of the Neutrogena Hydro Boost but there is something extra nice about the consistency. It is more expensive but I do enjoy using it. It’s so true that the best moisturizer and sunscreen are the ones you’ll use properly. ❤

I totally agree with washing the face at the sink. It’s just not hard to rinse the face it just makes such a mess. I will get my shower going be ready to jump in with my face wash on my face and just rinse it off in the shower. Then I do my 2nd wash in the shower. I have tried the headbands the wrist bands and it’s still a mess then you have wet thing to deal with. I do like the pen holder very nice. Did you get it on the Amazon

Since I caught an epidemic or the flu at the end of the year (I got it from a passerby who was coughing, horribly. It was taboo to cough outside before, but now..), I no longer feel like drinking coffee... (And on top of that, I've still lost half my sense of smell) Now I'm drinking Japanese tea constantly. Vanicream has discontinued their SPF lip balm. ☹ I'm bummed because I can only use mineral sunscreens due to allergies to the chemical filters. I bought a tube of Badger's SPF35 stick mineral sunscreen and I've been applying it over my regular Aquaphor lip balm. Hopefully some of these companies will come out with mineral versions of their lip balms. 🤔

And, you didn't think I was going to leave easily did you? But and, I really like the popcorn popper. The oil didn't cover the popcorn well enough to make the salt stick, however, I have a fine Mist water bottle so if you just mist your popcorn with the water, sprinkle, the salt on top and shake it, it's perfect!😊😊 I don't feel guilty because it's a nutritious snack that I can have every day if I want.

Sunscreen breaks me out, I've tried so many that you recommended that are supposed to be good for acne prone skin but NONE have worked all all have made my skin worse. Do you have a holy grail sunscreen for super oily acne prone skin? I get my acne totally under control and then try another sunscreen and wind up having to get my acne under control again. At this point I've given up on sunscreen because I've spent 25 years learning to get acne under control and now that I've finally managed that it's very hard for me to keep going back to having acne all just so I can try another sunscreen. I'm 43 yr old and still have extremely oily skin im talking you can see it sitting on my skin and I wipe it away several times per day

Maybe a bit of advice… any pen or felt tip pen should go point side down. Fir longevity. The wonders of gravity will pull the ink to the tip. If you place the pen the other way you will not have ink for long when using. Because the ink goes to the other direction. I learned this trick from being a rubber stamper and scrapbooked. My pens and ink pads were drying out fast till I realized to put it point or ink side down. 😊😊😊

Hi, you know how people put moisturizers on damp skin, and sun block on dry skin? What do you do with a moisturizer with sunscreen in it (like the Cerave am moisturizer), do you put that on damp or dry skin?

You live in Texas. I live near Seattle. It is frequently cloudy & rainy. In the colder, rainy months, I don’t spend much time outdoors (except some in my car). Sunscreen often gives me a burning sensation on my face. How important is it in my climate? And is this sort of climate better for skin?
