Just an FYI, you can buy those colourful koala leggings at the company website. They are only about $5 more and then you don't have to give your money to Amazon and all the money goes directly to the company. They are truly comfy leggings, and I want to order another and maybe even size down this time.

Professional sourdough baker here. Any sort of fat (aka butter, oil, eggs, milk) make for a fine crumb, so if you want a more open crumb try upping the water content (about 70% of the weight of the flour should be water). If you like the flavor with the yeast, you can keep using it, but the commercial yeast will reproduce at such a fast rate that the wild yeast in your sourdough really cannot compete with it and a lot of the acidic flavor in the sourdough will be lost. Recipe idea: Sourdough 50 gr starter 50 gr flour 50 gr water 50 gr sugar Let rest overnight and mix with: 425 gr flour 275 gr water 10 gr salt Let rest 3 to 4 hours, shape anyway you like, let rest 1 to 2 hours, let rest in the fridge for at least 6 hours, and up to 24, bake and enjoy.

I wrap things with cloth and reused ribbon. I buy Christmas cloth and cut it to all kinds of sizes and then reuse it year after year after year, you just tie it up with a ribbon or you tie the cloth in a knot at the top of whatever you are wrapping. For the odd item that doest fit with cloth I have, or am willing to buy. I will use brown packing paper from amazon packages and then draw little things on it myself. Hope this idea helps! Way less waste, money spent and it is still just as special. I also recommend looking for ribbon at thrift stores. I find some with almost every thrift haul I do around this time of year.

Awesome options! I love the idea of wrapping with cloth and packaging paper from Amazon. I'm using amazon boxes I already have to put gifts in instead of bags and bought packaging paper to wrap that I bought at dollar tree. For a couple of years I worked as a luxury gift wrapper. One of the main tips I learnt was to use a measuring tape for everything; that way we only used what we needed (and to allow us to fold the paper and tie the bow in specific ways). We also cut the paper at different angles in order to make the leftover paper useable for smaller gifts. Double sided tape was the only thing we used; so it was invisible as was any raw edges of the wrapping paper (they were always folded away so only the pattern was visible). We’d custom make boxes out of cardboard in order to neatly wrap odd shaped objects. And also - this fancy, not economic - we’d layer in tissue paper between the gift and the wrapping paper. This allowed for shaper folds, added extra protection to the gift, and just added to the aesthetic. The ribbon also had wire in the edges so it would hold a prettier bow. I’m sure there are other tips and tricks, but those are the ones I remember off the top of my head. (And yes, I still wrap gifts like this but only for my friends/family!)

I buy “premium” metallic wrapping paper at Walmart every year. It’s the thickest stuff I’ve found that’s similar to commercial gift wrap but still a reasonable price. The thickness makes it really easy to wrap without tearing. I try to minimize the number of packages, especially for little kids. My nephew needed 4 outfits this year, they all went into one sweater box. I use different wrapping paper for my kids, and another kind for each Christmas gathering we go to. That way it’s easy to make sure every present goes to the right house.

For reusable gift wrap ideas, we got canvas Christmas bags on Amazon a few years ago for our kids. They are ridiculously priced right now, but after the holidays you can find them for $5-6 each. They work great for our 4 kids. They are large enough to put all of their presents in, so no need to wrap individual presents. We still use bags, boxes, and paper for extended family, but this has cut down on the amount we use.

Jessica, sorry I forgot to mention my suggestion for reusable wrapping. Sheets and pillow cases! Buy a bunch in whatever colors you want that are on the cheaper side so it's affordable and then a fun project you a G could do, is pick up fabric paint and large foam stamps and create your own reusable (bags and wraps) that you can tie off with pretty ribbon. You could even make custom ones with your family members names and use that every year. All you would need to do is cut some carboard to fit into the pillowcases so it doesn't bleed through and maybe put the sheets on a tarp. This would be a great project to do over the spring/summer so you can do it outside and it'll dry faster.

Dawn spray for your stained clothes. You gotta put time into it but spray it with dawn and rub it in (wet with cold water) then let it sit a while and do it again. Do it a few times. Let it air dry and see if it came out. If it didn’t come out completely then do it again. I have saved many articles of clothing with the dawn method and the spray dawn has made it even easier!

I saw a lot of people recommend the Dawn dish soap. I will add that it should be the original Dawn and if you mix some in with some granulated sugar to make a paste and apply it to the stains with a little water before you wash again, it should come out. The Dawn grabs the oil, the sugar acts as an agitator to really get the Dawn in the fibers.

For oil based stains, you can soak stained laundry in warm oxywash for hours, or use dawn detergent on them. - if something comes out of they dryer stained, I try those methods to re-wash, but I don't dry it again until the stain is gone (I mean line dry)

I definitely reuse bags thst I receive gifts in, but my go-to is just plain kraft paper with twine and a sprig of pine or something festive.

I stopped using paper wrapping products and bought these large felt sacks from Michael's one year, and when my daughter got older i just used those. I didn't use them with other people but for white elephant gifts I do reusable shopping bags.

Dish soap is my go-to for oil or grease stains. Even if I accidentally ran the shirt through the washer and dryer once already, aggressive application of dish soap almost always gets them out.

I save bags and tissue paper and also boxes. After Christmas I buy several rolls of wrapping paper super cheap for next year. I never use bows/ribbon. So cheap lol.

When it comes to wrapping, my family uses newspaper! My dad spends October-december looking for the best comics/ads that look the best for wrapping paper :) we also use old bags. My mom did last year buy sturdy boxes that have magnetic closures that work really well as well! They were in the Christmas section at Meijer, a store near me :)

We save the brown packing paper from our Chewy and other delivery boxes and use that instead of store bought wrapping paper! With plaid ribbon or twine it looks so beautiful and rustic. Bonus its eco friendly!!

Dawn dish soap will take out the grease stains even after the garment has been washed. It should also take the stain off the white shirt. A pot a little on the stains, rub it in then wash as usual.

I have found on one more than one occasion that Advanced Shout spray will work even after you put it through the dryer - in almost every case - even greasy stains - it’s like magic spray!! I was amazed the first time I tried it.

Jessica, we started getting strange spots on our clothes that looked like oil. We "cleaned" our washing machine using 2 cups of vinegar and 1/4 cup of dawn dish washing liquid. The directions said to use hot water, then run it again to clear out any leftover vinegar mix. AND, no more spots!! Rachhloves channel did a "tik tok wrapping hacks" video and she showed how to make a bag out of wrapping paper!🎅🤶🎄⛄

Use the original blue dawn dish soap. I apply directly to the oil spot, kind of dab it in, then toss it in the hamper until the next time I do laundry. It comes out every time.

Stains that are stuck due to grease or oils should come right out if you put some dish soap on them. I just rub my dawn or palmolive (or whatever) right on the spot, rub it in, sometimes let it sit if I'm not ready to do the laundry, and just wash like normal. Just like it cuts through grease in the kitchen, it will cut through oils on your clothes.

Use the orange cleaner that mechanics use to get oil off their hands. Scrub some into the spot with a toothbrush and let it sit for awhile and then wash as usual. Works like a charm.

Sweater stains: Try dish soap! It cuts through oil and grease and/or De-Solv-it! Laundry saver (Amazon) I usually do a combo of both, scrub the stains, let it set for a bit, and then wash. Takes stains right out even after drying.

My grandma takes nice sturdy boxes like you used to get from stores where the lid meets the bottom of the box, and she would wrap just the top box part, with thicker and study paper and ribbons. Then to wrap them you just put the top on and yo unwrap, you just take the top off. Then you have them for Years

Put dawn soap on the spots. Sprinkle with baking soda and scrub with some hot water and a toothbrush. It should be a paste. I usually scrub each spot for a minute. Wash as usual. It even takes out older, set in grease stains.

I keep the big sections of used wrap and either reuse to wrap smaller things later or cut into strips to curl and make bows. Even brown grocery bags cut into strips will curl and those make cute rustic style wrapping. 👍🧡🌲

It might be a detergent stain! Sometimes if the detergent doesn't get mixed around it can leave those kinds of stains. I usually rewash with a spot cleaner like shout, which helps.
