This is my formerly gray 2011 VMAX. I have since installed a full Hindle exhaust. This tune is without further air box mods. I have since opened the K&N to more flow by adding a retainer clip and removing the cover that restricts airflow to it. I am considering adding two additional K&N filters to the sides of the air box (known as Triple Threat Air Box Mod). This bike needs to breathe to produce power, and that is what is holding it to 181. This dyno is known for being tight, as the previous shop record was a Busa that only ran 150 to the rear wheel....what? What you can't see here is the double digit numbers it added to my mid range power...wow. This bike feels so much different now! For fun, I will go to a bit looser dyno and see what happens...lol! This is just for fun, and the phone does the sound of that Hindle no justice. I love it! V4 Power!!!

Massive torque, 200hp from factory, they're the perfect ride, speed or just cruising.

I’ve got a 2009. I’ve got the V&H slip on with cat del. K&n air filter with air box mod. No tune made 186 hp and 125 tq. I think I got a Wednesday model. Haven’t had one on my dyno that’s beat my numbers yet. Had one with full brocks exhaust, guru tune and the air box mod with the pod filters only put down 184hp and 120 tq. Dyno the same day.

It's crazy how these Dyno's differ. I think there are a lot of factors that play into the numbers (the man running the bike and the machine being the biggest). I finally quit concentrating on the numbers and more the AFR and the results of the roll ons and the stop light to stop light real world "dyno". I've had seasoned VMAX owners put down only mid 180's that just smoke a claimed 200 rwhp dyno'd VMAX with similar mods. I'm okay with what I have and will maybe get on a loosey goosey dyno that has a reputation for giving up the numbers and pull a 190+ if I'm lucky and the weather is right...lol (wink wink). This way I can brag with the rest. It holds its own on the street, sounds great, and I love to ride it. I guess that's what counts, huh? One thing is for sure each hp costs a few bucks on this machine!

What will happen to the bike if you ride in heavy rain with those forward looking air intakes?

I'm guessing that you don't know to much about, the answer is that absolutely nothing happens, simply because are just for looks, those are fake air scoops!

When you delete the cat do you need a servo eliminator?

If you have the ECU flashed, it can be turned off in the flash then completely removed (that's what I did). If not, you can leave the servo there, unhook the cables that run the butterfly valve in the cat, and let the servo motor do its thing....or if you really want, you can get the servo eliminator and plug it in place of the servo.
