Really good review, this is exactly what I want an electric scooter that has a really good top speed so im not to limited to where I can ride. They are priced very well for what you get, I've been looking at prices at the moment and im surprised. They are defiantly the future of transport.

DOnt forget to mention that you have to change the battery back on that every 2 years or so at a cost of $800

I got a E-max from 2010 I think. I got big issue with the lead silicone gel battery UNbalance. The original batteries was killed by this sadly. I pay 34 000 SEK for it and a new set of batteries cost 8 000 SEK. What F___ was the engineers thinking when they chose NOT to add a balance function to the original charger!!! The range dropped rapidly due to the unbalance kill the batteries. I strongly recommend that you balance the batteries if not every day, at least once a week. Easiest way may be to install a balance kit if you can find any for 12V silicone gel. The other option I went for (as my charger died too) is to install wires from between all the four batteries in series. That mean with the two wires neg+ 0V and pos + 48V you alreaady got under your seat, you need to install further three wires more to balance 12V, 24V and 36V. Then you should have access to 0V 12V 24V 36V and 48V (five wires). These five wires should be connected to four separate 12V charger or one charger with at least four separate charging channels.

I still got same issue with balancing the 4 * 12V batteries. I replaced two of the batteries but probably need to get a new set of them at this time as my range is down to about 20km or 12,5miles. In the add it should do 70 to 90km. I resolved my charging with a 4+ channel charger 2 or 6 or 12 Amp. I installed a multiconnector for 7 wires. one for each voltage as I described in my comment above but added one more for 0V and one for 48V as these handle all the power. The other ones only handle the differential currents between the batteries. Too bad my 4+ channel charger is too big to fit in scooter :( I mess the Vmoto for batteries and speed fix as mine do 41km/h. Most gas scooters go 50+km/h. Other idea I got is to add regeneration breaking. I run mostly around city and it's a bit hilly area. As it's a 3 phase AC motor I can add a transformer (if needed to get right voltage) to motor wires. Then convert power from AC to DC and feed it back to the batteries.

some hub motors just freewheel or coast when throttle is active and feel like a motorcycle or car moving along the road in neutral not in gear with no control or holding torque. some feel like a motorcycle rolling along the ground in neutral with out proper control

You said Silicone Lead Acid in your video and you've typed "Silicone Lead Acid" in the description of this video. Judging by these two facts alone you are unqualified to perform any electric vehicle reviews when you clearly do not have the most basic understanding of electric vehicle technology. This is not the first mistake, I’ve watched other videos of yours when you have shown yourself to be ignorant while masquerading yourself of some type of expert, fake it until you make it as some might say.
@ChrisMerveille8 жыл бұрын
Do you mean to say that it should be "silicon lead acid", not "silicone"? In that case, I believe you owe the guy an apology. As far as I know, the battery contains a silicone-based gel which acts as the electrolyte. See eg. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VRLA_battery
