What about super basic stuff like making sure your oil is not old and dirty and your oil level is good and air filter is clean? Not sure if I missed that part in the video or if that wasn't included. Also may be good to mention how much gas to come with especially if tuning on 93 then switching to e85. Cant come with a full tank of 93 if you want to get e85 tuned too. My tuner wanted 1/8th tank of 93 or so , so we could put e85 in after 93 tuning and get a decent ethanol percentage.

Dyno tuning is just utilizing a tool (the dyno itself) to load and test a vehicle. You could "dyno" tune anything that can be operated safely on the dyno by utilizing the dyno in the process of tuning the vehicle. From classic cars with carbs to modern vehicles with fully modernized engine management systems. You would just need to be equipped with the skills and tools/software necessary to monitor, measure, and adjust that specific vehicle's set up. Specific to older fuel injected vehicles, you would need a way to interface with the ECU and a way to monitor the air fuel ratio properly.

I just bought a 2002 SVT Ford Lightning, with 170k miles but the engine has been rebuilt a few months ago. Stock transmission, stock supercharger, and it has a full cat-back exhaust with shorty headers. Along with having a cold air intake, and I’m looking to get the vehicle tuned for the first time. Is there anything vehicle wise that you suggest I do to the truck “maintenance wise or performance wise” to make it more reliable?

Make sure the plugs are fresh, make sure the coils are fresh OEM coils, fresh fuel pump assembly, and good fuel quality.
