I almost had the opportunity of seeing Bloodywood at Bloodstock in 2021, but due to covid restrictions they couldn't make the trip. So to finally have them on my list to analyze here on the channel was a delight! The mixture of not only vocalizations but authentic Indian instruments made this song an absolute treasure to behold!
Join professional opera singer Elizabeth Zharoff, as she listens to Bloodywood for the first time, performing "Ari Ari” featuring Raoul Kerr.

Just gonna put this out there, Gaddaar is probably one of The most energetic, well structured, perfectly balanced, beautifully written and simply one of the best metal tracks of all time. You guys have really done an amazing job with it, as well as with the whole album. Your energy is pure and authentic and draws out the most amazing emotions when I listen to your music like very few bands have done before, and I can’t stop singing your praises to all that will listen. Keep it up and I wish you all the success that you so totally deserve.

Raoul was a guest artist on this song and he jelled so well the original two members that he joined the band permanently after. Their recent debut album (early 2022) is top notch and one of the most refreshing and innovative metal albums in years (and staggeringly impressive for a self-published album). Ari Ari is fun and where their sound first fully came together but it’s basically a metal cover and they just got better with experience . The material they wrote from scratch themselves is a cut above this, both in polish and in passion. As an added bonus, they are all genuinely sweet and humble young men. They are definitely one of the most genuinely likeable metal bands out there right now.

You discussed the music, the lyrics, the video, the emotion. I’m not joking. I’ve seen many reactions. Literally all reactions ever. VOCAL EXPERTS have either never done a proper review of the many symphonies in the song, or haven’t reacted to Bloodywood. You have a very good ear. Keep rocking. Listen to more Indian music. They started out doing covers and this was the one where everything clicked. It's a cover of a Bombay Rockers song, an indian band who was quite successful in india (and denmark for some reason). This was the first song with a rap part and this became the formula of success for the band. I've seen them live in germany before the pandemic and I might see them on festivals again later this year. After this song they started releasing original songs, and they are even better than their covers. When you said it might be hard to play guitar on the back of a camel I thought "that's nothing, try playing a guitar in outer space" and that brings me to an idea for a reaction, because you could react to the best singer in outer space ever. Astronaut Chris Hadfield, who actually recorded a record of cover songs when he was on the ISS. For his cover of David Bowie's Space Oddity, there is a music video that was shot on the ISS aswell. He also spoke about how being in zero G changes your voice and affects singing, so that is definetly something new to explore. Appearently earth's gravity drains your head of liquid, so in zero G your tongue is bigger and it's harder to hit lower notes. The Space Oddity video you can easily find on youtube and a 20min podcast about singing and playing guitar in space you can find on soundcloud "Space Sessions: Songs From a Tin Can - Making Of".

I'm glad you've had the opportunity to check Bloodywood out. They're an amazing band. All their tracks have a message and everything, including the videos and their new album, is self produced. Their track Dana Dan is well worth a look, just make sure you turn on the captions as it's worth having the lyrics up, be warned though the lyrics are full on. . It's also worth checking out Raoul Kerr's track 'For Her' done with his band No Flag before he joined Bloodywood full time.

Hello Elisabeth ! Really enjoying your react to Bloodywood. This group is amazing, their album Rakshak blew me away from start to finish. If you want to continue reacting their songs, I can recommend you few more : Gaddar for the lyrics, Aaj for the music arrangement or Dana dan for their vocal qualities 😉

Now Elizabeth has to react to more South Asian artists . Coke Studio Pakistan and Nescafe Basement from Pakistan have decades of song in all flavours imaginable. My special recommendation would be AR Rahman's NIS DIN track for pure compostional treat and vocal wizardry and Strings' DUUR Red Bull Live version and AGAM's MIST OF CAPRICORN and ONWARDS AND UPWARDS for the flavour of INDIAN CLASSICAL CARNATIC METAL. The list is endless. Love from India 🇮🇳

such a wonderful a humble band, every song has a genuine meaning, from unity, to mental health and grief. they genuinely in the messages theyre singing about..to the extent they aid out of their own pocket for i think it was 60 thereoy sessions for any of their fans to use. for a band to do that when they're backed only by patreon dontations is something else. throw in karan being the one who mixes every song, edits every video and so much more without professinal help is insane. they've grown so much from this video, and their debut is something truly outstanding. and i wont even mention how truly fecing wonderful the fan base is eitheer

I've been playing and enjoying their first album 'Rahshak', which is one of the top albums of the year, IMHO. This particular song is not on it, and somehow I'd missed hearing it earlier, so thanks for that. I do think that nearly every comment you made about this song also applies to every Bloodywood song I've heard. So much musical skill, such great song writing, such passion for what they do. I have to thank Tank the Tech for my first introduction to them. 'Gaddar', 'Aaj', and 'Dana Dan' have such great videos. (and again, I really wanted to make this premier, but sadly I got zero hours of sleep yesterday and I needed a few hours of sleep right away..)
