Elizabeth, great sincere reaction! Very hard to fathom how he is on his knees controlling a belting head voice LIVE! The best is a personal preference just because you think Lara did it better doesn't mean everyone has to agree with you !!! All that aside , Dimash as a vocalist has no equal , Lara has a beautiful voice and stage presence but she is a pop singer just one style and very limited vocal range unlike Dimash who has an extended range ( A1 to D8 ) & mastered both classical and contemporary styles of singing . The only reason anyone would pick Lara version of Adagio over Dimash is the Pronounciation but vocally there is no comparison at all . Dimash killed her Russian songs like ( Know & Love of tired swans ) he brought them God level .

I am actually glad you used this performance. He was so much more relaxed in it. Hitting all the same notes but no head or jaw shaking. Yeah that whole guy girl thing has never been a problem. His english pronunciations have gotten so much better from the Singer. And he isn't rushing himself. That is the thing that is impressive to me, because he has to have put in an enormous amount time and energy to get this far. I heard somewhere that you know when you have really mastered the breath control issues, is when you are singing a long note or run, and when you hold the last note that you end it when you want and not that you have run out of wind. Both he and Morissette do that really well. Thank you for another great reaction.

"The Singer" version of this song was better in my opinion. It sounded like there were technical issues that were working against Dimash and his ability to hear the tempo. I recommend listening to the other version to hear the difference, at least on your own.

Dimash is a genius which means, at least based on my experience with geniuses of whom I have three best friends who are same means. They have the brain power and creativity to hold almost countless, differing even opposing perceptions of reality - suspend them so to speak - in the ether of their minds and then configure more ideas or variations on the themes they are considering, contemplating and directing their creativity towards. Then, once once they have the for that time taken it as far as they want they can begin combining the various configurations this one, then that one - as many as they desire - moving a piece here another there and experimenting; and all of this is done basically effortlessly. Long story short, their abilities to come up with myriad permutations and then arrive at what they then decide and desire to choose to use - results, musically and vocally in well, what is - what is - a Dimash performance!

This song ADAGIO is a classic song by ALBINONI, but Lara Fabiam put lyrics in English and Italian created the musical arrangements for POP and released it sung by her with incredible repercussion in Europe and Eastern countries ... It would be good to analyze the original version of LARA ... that like everything she sings is very emotional (show lara with love)

Thank you, Elizabeth, let me share some "behind the stage" information :) This is Adagio version that Dimash performer in Sochi at the closing ceremony of New Wave festiwal. I think it was in 2018, but I am not sure. Anyway, this is the same festiwal where Dimash performer Sinful Passion for the first time :) I remember (because I have been following Dimash since 2017 and his Singer performance) that we (Dears) did not like this festiwal very much and this version is not my favourite version. First of all Russian hosts who run this festiwal were unprepared. At his Sinful Passion performance they told he participated in China in The Voice - he did not, it was of course The Singer and he won. He also did not, he was runner up. They said he went to China, because he had bigger audience there, and he went, because he was invited by the producer of The Singer. At the closing ceremony, they laughed at the amount of flowers he received and they even called his fans slaves :( Also the microphon was turned off during the performance of Adagio, that's why Dimash had to put much more effort in singing this song, especially these high belts, that's why he sounded rockish here. But Dimash is a full professional, so even you did not notice that :) Of course TV station also corrected it in post production, but in fan cams of this performance it is visible.
