Grab some tissues, because this one is a tear-jerker. This song is based on a true story, about a cable car accident that took the lives of 14 people. 2 of those were a couple, who lifted their son to safety in their last moments. They did not survive.
The composer and original singer, Han Hong, later adopted the orphaned child.
Join professional opera singer Elizabeth Zharoff, as she listens to Dimash Kudaibergen for the first time, performing "Daybreak” BOTH on Singer and at Bastau.

He loves to interact with the audience. If you watch his concerts he is known to jump of stage, shaking hands... even running into the audience (Moscow). And even thou he obviously gives his poor security a slight heartattack it is nice that his fans are respectful to give him enough space so that he feels secure to do it and I hope it will stay that way in the future.

He raps in Kazakh its an inspiring message to his fellow Kazakh men, Kazakh rap is different from Western rap. He also incorporates Georgian folk music. You need to know that in China Dimash is a huge pop star . This was 2017 and they had him on every tv show and festival going, plus he went on a concert tour through China, so he was being worked hard back then. He enjoyed it but now he is more focused on doing his own thing. He is about to release his new album, its all Kazakh and it sounds beautiful in the sneak preview he released. Can't wait until I can buy it ❤

Dimash is a highly popular celebrity foreign singer in China BUT he is NOT a HUGE STAR there....misrepresentation of truths here. Chinese do love him and respect him but not to confuse him being a HUGE STAR there. Highly popular foreign singer and celebrity, YES. And he WAS NOT being worked hard there. Entertainment industry is especially highly lucrative and competitive in China....highly lucrative contracts. Many would give an arm or leg to get lucrative contracts in China. If you don't grab it when it's given to you.....you might not be offered contracts anymore as you are deemed not interested. Tired? Not enough sleep? All celebrities are going through it. Dimash NEED TO EARN ENOUGH TO PAY for his management's cut/fees, his lodgings, plane tickets, drivers, interpreters, image makers & stylists, managers, assistants, security, etc......in order to pay them, he need enough jobs to earn enough. Being in entertainment is no fairytale. It's serious business ANYWHERE. What is big money to 'normal people' is not big money to celebrities as they have extremely high overheads.

As much as he loves his audience, it's important to note that his Dears are also very respectful when he does interact with them during the show. They're not grabbing or pulling or trying to climb up him to get on stage. They're simply enjoying the experience as much as he is.

Elizabeth, Thank u. U are one of the best most informative, if not the best, reactors. While watching this an idea popped in my head: it might give an added flavor if u discussed the lyrics/ meaning/message of the songs. Of course, steering clear of "dogma" about your view but offering a starting point for further perspectives. Just a thought. Keep up the great analysis, mixed with ur music performance/vocal experience and pure enjoyment. BTW- My voice teacher here in Washington, DC was on the vocal faculty at Curtis. I studied with him in the early 1990s. Peace! JK

Please watch the MV for Screaming, it doesn’t have rapping in it, he just did that for the live show Idol Hits and has repeated it a couple of times live but hasn’t added the rap in more recent live performances. The Music video is visually stunning and you will hear a lot more vocal acrobats & he has a staccato piece towards the end of the song that I always loved! If you don’t do it as a reaction it’s definitely worth you watching on your own because I’m almost positive you will enjoy it much more! Thank you again for a great reaction/analysis. loved your reaction to this fun and awesome song. Dimash always makes things interesting because he really doesn't like to do a song twice in the same way so there's always a delightful surprise for his Dears. You've asked before if we have any recommendations for you and i have one. It's from Dimash's New York concert and it's If I Never Breathe Again. If you start it at about 8:55 you'll hear him talk to his Dears, thanking them for their love and support. This song is very special to me for a lot of reasons. I sing it to my husband, who is 83 and not in the best of health. He thinks I'm awesome. of course, he's hard of hearing so what does he know, but I know that even after 42 years he can see my love for him in my face and that's what matters. I don't think anyone else has reacted to this song, at least not that I know of anyway and in IMO it deserves to be heard. I know you're really busy so if I you don't get to it I understand. But if you can keep it in mind I would appreciate it very much. Thank you from a Dear in WA state. Be safe out there everyone. God bless.

REALLLLLLLLLLY need to react to Periphery who has one of the craziest vocal ranges in music, or twelve foot ninja who also has incredible vocals.

I'd love you to react to either "Autumn Strong" from his Arnau Concert in Kiev last March. Or maybe the song he wrote as a tribute to his hero Michael Jackson "Give me your love." I think you'll enjoy his Barclays Center concert version in New York in front of 19,000 people. 😊🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿👍

I'm pretty sure the rap section was in Kazakh, it has distintive r-sounds.

Maybe it sounds unusual to our ears because it is in Kazakh. Perhaps the sounds in that language don't mesh as smoothly as we're used to. (Still pretty cool though) Edit: American ears, that is.

Yes, surely the rap is in Kazakh. The lyrics have deep meaning.
