Yep it definitely belongs into the category "loose translation" - my Russian is quite rusty but it surprised me too the first time seeing it. On the other hand I have seen a "lot" worse, even in movies, they can be really funny when you understand the language. And lyrics like poetry are extremely difficult to translate you need someone who has a really good grasp on both languages.

I wouldn't translate "немая проза" as dumb prose. Because it can be misunderstood as stupid. But literal translation from Russian is *mute* prose (silent, unsaid)

The greatest part of Dimash is his absolute humbleness. When people tell him he's the best in the world, he quickly responds by saying everyone has their own unique voice and he cannot replicate that. IE our Bill Withers, Johnny Cashes, Tina Turners, ect ect. Yes, he is EASILY the most proficient and precise and passionate singer, but he is Dimash and he believes all people are their own force, just like him.

Daybreak Bastau is phenomenal but this performance and every other one for this song are trash , if you wanna see a live performance to this song check out the Dueseldorf performance or the best one in Arnau Kiev concert . This is terrible playback just take the track and compare it to the music video and the new wave version .

Dimash is probably the closest thing any of us will ever experience to a literal perfect singer. Even trying to compare his dominance of singing technique to other disciplines is pretty much futile because of how much ahead of everyone else he really is. It's not like he's the Michael Jordan of singing, because Jordan had competitors. I don't see anyone even close to Dimash. If our species doesn't die out, our future generations are going to look back at this man and be in absolute awe.

I love how you get excited about things I never knew existed! I come to love Dimash's songs by hearing about these details. I also love the way he uses his hands to move the notes around. Sometimes he tosses a note into the air with his thumb! Just gives it a flick! Sometimes they seem to be on a string that he draws out longer. And he almost always switches those little "Diva Dance" notes on and off with a finger.
