This song is not Hua's original, but this song's composer (also the original singer: XI Lou 西楼) has written another song "Ashes From Fireworks (烟火里的尘埃)" for Hua, which is somehow similar to this "Child". Before this performance, Hua said that we can consider his version's "Child" as a sequel to "Ashes From Fireworks". Hua said he loves "Child" so much that he rearrange this song in purpose to perform on "Singer 2018"'s stage, on which singers are not allowed to sing more than 2 himself's songs. You can search "华晨宇 烟火里的尘埃 官方版"for the official MV, but I recommended a live version in which he sang with a fan boy(keyword: 《我想和你唱2》20170617 第8期: 华晨宇《烟火里的尘埃》). This version has such a beautiful chorus! Really hope you can listen to more of his songs! iTune and spotify both have his albums, and Google Music only has several new singles but no albums.

Hua strives to learn new musical skills all the time. After his 1st album he felt he needed more education so he went to a music school in New York city. In an interview he said he quit the vocal technique course because he already knew the skills and he refuses to follow those rules. He said for some of his hard rock songs he has to break the vocal technique skills to achieve the voice he wants. Hua doesn't care if he damages his voice to achieve the art he wants to display. The art is more important to him. So in school Hua focused on learning music composition, arrangement and composing.

This song is from one of his favorite composer Xi Lou. Xi Lou also composed a song for Hua Chenyu's album, Ashes From Fireworks - kzbin.info/www/bejne/bJjMc6etjJd0nck . Hua Chenyu always said voice is just a kind of instrument, no difference from other instrument. I think that is why he always can blend his voice so well with all the instruments, although the melody might be very dramatic but still in a very smooth transfer. Also I noticed he is one of the best singers I have seen who had really really good co-operation with his background singers for each performance. I think he respects his background singers as a instrument just like himself 😄 For some singers like Hua Chenyu, you just need to watch tens of performances to know him. Thanks for your reaction.

Hua has always been amazing. The more videos of him you watched, the more of his musical talent you'll see. Nunchucks show the variety of his vocal types and different musical elements rather than vocal range. You'll really have to see more of him to know how much he can do. He did say that he sees vocal as a musical instrument which plays a role like all other sounds/instruments like piano, violin, etc (or even just a clinking sound). No, she's not his mother. Hua's parents divorced when he was 2. He stays with his father after that. Well, he does have a stepmother and a stepsister now.

Thank you so much for reacting! This song pulled me into his fandom and there is no return. You are so right one song is not enough to judge a singer, especially for Hua Hua. He sings in so many different styles and he uses his voice in so many different ways we can watch 20 different performances and still not get the full capability of what he can do. No this song is not his original. It’s a very little known song that he loved, so he rewrote it and it’s quite different from the original. That’s his real talent actually, rewriting songs to make them different, make them better and make them his own. Please react to Nanping Evening Bell. Please react to “Perhaps Love” and “Nanping Evening Bell”. Those are two duets that show another two sides of his talents.

Most of his songs are his originals. Like he composed the melodies and wrote his own lyrics. If he were to sing a piece that belongs to another, he would always rearrange it completely, like a complete flip, to produce something of awestruck quality. He did say that producing original music is very important to him.

It's not his song but he reaaranged it into his style. The original one is different and not so vocal. If you like this song maybe you'll like his "ashes from the firework" fromHuahua's first album in 2014. The style is similar, Hua said this two songs are like a series.
