The girl was the fan (though she has studied/trained in music if I remember correctly) and the guy is the artist (stage name: Taeyang; real name: Dong Youngbae). You clearly know what you're talking about. I appreciate that in a reaction, that you're coming from a place of expertise. I find over-riffy singing super annoying but this performance has a ton of riffs and completely avoids that somehow. Also appreciate that you called out the 'live'-ness. I always wonder about that when performances are really clean but as you point out, it's not flawless. It probably has been cleaned up a bit but it feels human still.
