I know I'm a little late to the party but I need to chime in... I am a stagehand and I worked Adam's show a few years back and he has one of the best live voices I've ever heard! I walked by his dressing room and heard him warming up his voice. If the crowd paid just to hear just that they would have been satisfied! It was impressive! And for the record he doesn't use autotune, doesn't need it.

2 words... MORE PLEASE! Seriously Rebecca...you've barely scratched the surface of this man who for the last 8 years has toured extensively as the front man for QUEEN! Brian May and Roger Taylor (who you will no doubt recognize as the founding members of the band "Smile" that became Queen when Freddie joined them) heard about Adam from their longtime keyboardist, Spike Etney, who watched Adam on Idol and immediately rang them up to watch him. Brian May then called the producers of American Idol and offered to be in the live finale, where they performed "We Are The Champions" with Adam and the other guy in the finals. May and Taylor were blown away by him and within another year or so, called Adam to ask if he would fly to Belfast where they were being honored with a lifetime award at the EMAs and doing a medley for which they needed a damn good singer. Adam of course said "YES!" right away and the rest, as they say, is history. Check out "Who Wants To Live Forever", "Show Must Go On" and many others! Adam was in musical theater at age 10 and also had a couple years of opera training. His vocal teacher said when he was a kid, it was never enough for him to be ABLE to reach certain notes; he wanted to know HOW he was able. He's always been interested in the anatomy and technical aspects of singing as well. BECAUSE you are a vocal coach as well as a trained singer yourself, I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE for you to also check out an audio of a LIVE performance of Adam singing in the play "Brigadoon" where he sings "Come To Me, Bend To Me" as well as a short bit in a live production of the musical "Hair", called "My Conviction" These 2 performances are a great way for you to listen to his ability and technique without the "distraction" of his sexiness/male beauty (which, I admit, can at times overwhelm the performance, lol) Also, watch Cher CRY at Adam's OWN rendition of her hit, "Believe" at the Kennedy Center Honors. Thanks so much. I know you (like myself) are quite taken with Dimash (and rightfully so) but I highly believe Lambert deserves his own place in the pantheon of fantastic male vocalists. :)

Finally!! Adam is my all time favorite singer/performer and still outrageously underrated!!! This compilation is actually pretty dated at this point. He is even more matured and controlled now. I recommend either believe at the Kennedy Center Honors, or Who Wants to Live Forever at the Isle of Wight festival for a more up to date view of his abilities. I have had the pleasure of seeing him three times (of the five concerts I have been to in my life) and have never experienced anything like it before. He watches the audience nearly as much as the audience watches him. So you feel him seeing you and you're appearance is just as important as his. Mesmerizing is the perfect word to describe him.

Interesting that you mention he could be an opera singer. He did say that he studied with an opera singer as a teenager for a short while and even sang some light opera briefly. He did lots of musical theatre as well, as a kid and in his 20s. If you want to experience his voice from that period, check out his rendition of Come to Me, Bend to Me from Brigadoon - arguably the most astonishing and the best rendition from any tenor ever. He just was the best American Idol singer that ever was... and I mean there were some other great stars. We cannot forget the Jennifer Hudson and Kelly Clarkson of it all, but Adam Lambert blew me away. I am still perplexed why he wasn’t a bigger star. He is still hugely popular.. but he never made superstar status.. . He still tours with queen ( I’ll never forget , how Queen was like .. you.. come with us now.. and and that was while American Idol was still filming. I am convinced the only reason why they appeared On American Idol as guests that year was to court him) I definitely remember that he was quickly black-listed for being too gay in 2009, it is a known fact that he was canceled from multiple engagements including award shows and talkshows because he was too flamboyantly gay.. (“ too raunchy” for executives at that time.) All of that happened it just right after he was on Idol.. He was was clearly euphoric with his recent success, and he had announced that he was gay right after Idol. Then he pantomimed a sexual act with an extra on tv ( can’t remember for what), but that any straight performer would have gotten away with it with little problem at that time. I’m wondering if that temporary black listing permanently affected his initial momentum? I just can’t know for sure I guess

Thank you for reacting to Adam Lambert. You should react to Believe that he sang for Cher.

One of the most versatile singers alive. Unreal talent.

Also I feel this compilation didn't do him justice, watch a live show with Queen and you will be blown away by how relaxed he is while having perfect control. Once again - unreal.

You should hear him sing if I can't have you on Idol. It would melt your soul. Thanks for uploading!

Thank you so much for your reaction! I thoroughly enjoyed it so it's a thumbs-up from me. Please do another reaction to him, any video would be great 😁. But as a huge fan of Adam's, I can't help but point out that these are hardly all his BEST moments, also the video is pretty old and he has evolved tremendously since. Ps. Good choice of thumbnail 😂
