Yes, he was I think 2012 olympic bronze men's figure skating winner, a childhood friend of Dimash's, tragically murdered in a car jacking incident. Rebeca, this is Arnau concert in Nur Sultan 2019/06/29! Dimash dedicated this song to Denis Tien (who danced the arrangement on ice, to the SOS song sung by Dimash at the 2018 Winter Olympics) during a concert in London 19th November 2018 (exactly four months after the tragic death of Denis, who died on July 19, 2018). Denis Tien Olympic bronze medalist from Sochi (2014) and participant in the Olympic Games (2010, 2018 - while dancing at the Olympics, he suffered an injury and took only 27th place), medalist of the world championships, champion of four continents (2015), champion of the Asian Games (2011) and five-time champion of Kazakhstan.

Thanks for your reaction! You should definitely check out Dimash's most recent performance ("Qaragym-ai"), which is a tribute to the song's composer (and his mentor), who passed away from Covid a few months ago. It's pure emotion- just his voice and a piano.

DIMASH RELEASED a video today (HE DID NOT COPYRIGHT IT) as its a tribute to his beloved Professor, Mentor & friend; Kenes Duisekeev, (man in picture behind Dimash) a famous composer, who passed away in June from COVID, hence u can feel his pain. SONG HISTORY: Kazakh poet Shomishpay, wrote words to “Karagim-ai” (translated “Apple of My Eye”) approx 25 yrs ago as a dedication to his daughter before she married. He wrote of his worry, how the life of his daughter/groom will be, what awaits her ahead and shares life’s/marriage meaning w/ her. The poet then asked “Kenes Duisekeev”, to compose the music. While doing so, Kenes Duisekeev only thought of “his” only sister, who died at 19 yrs old. He composed it imagining what “his” father would have felt at her wedding. Therefore, the song turned out not only about the poet’s daughter, who is getting married, but about the composer’s sister, who did not live to see her wedding. Dimash originally sang "Karagym-ai" at a concert dedicated to the 70th Birthday of “Kenes Duisekeev” (composer) on March 26, 2016. The composer was worried Dimash at so young could not convey the emotions, but was overwhelmed w/ joy after the performance, loudly applauding & saying BRAVO. Ciao Lucia :) So nice to see ypu back, I wondered what happened to you, I loved your Dimash reactions... BTW you look beautiful in this video :) Yes this was Dimash perfrorming his SOS song during his Arnau Tour i guess. It was a concert in Astana, Kazakhstan. Some pieces were cut out from this perfroance here, because ths song was dedicated to his friend , Kazakh ice scater and bronze medalist Denis Ten, who was stabbed to death by car robbers trying to steal car mirrors from his car. Denis was only 25 years old. He was shown ice scating in this video (there is a very brief moment here when we can see him) and he was also singing here, because Dimash and him planned to sing together, After the song ended Dimash handed a bouquet of lowers to Denis's mom. Very moving moment. Tjank you so much for being back to Dimash... I am looking forward for more and manybe some Elvis videos? I need some Elvis in my life too, because in Poland we live through some very difficult times because of pandemic now... Please take care of yourself, be safe, love and hugs - Karolina

Wow, I hadn’t seen this version before - fabulous!! That wasn’t the best idea, IMO, putting him in a cage (even a beautiful one). Part of Dimash’s performance is his free movements over the stage, his hand and arm gestures, and that setting constrained that freedom. Also, I really hope he doesn’t have a fear of heights, lol. Dimash LOVES heights and it was his idea to be in there. In fact his production managers have to very often give in to Dimash's needs to be coming down from ceilings on ropes, being up super high on stage props, going up on hydraulic platforms while playing his dombra. And in fact during his MJ tribute (Bastau concert) they hooked two cables to him and had him "floating" over the stage during Earth Song. He's a daredevil at heart that makes his crew cringe and very nervous often during concerts 😂😂 💜🤗💜🤗💜🤗💜🤗💜

I'would like to request from you to do a remake of your reaction to the new soundtrack of the movie "Creators: The Past" - the song "Across Endless Dimensions". The Premiere of this film took place in Italy on October 8, 2020. Dimash could't participate in this event, due to the pandemic. Ciao Lucia. Hai visto il concerto ARNAU di Nursultan da cui è tratto questo video? La canzone è stata dedicata a Denis Ten. C'è tutta una parte che è stata tolta dal video su MTV dove Denis canta (lui e Dimash avrebbero dovuto collaborare ma poi Denis è stato ucciso). È estremamente emozionante e commovente. Inoltre non so come abbia fatto Dimash a mantenere la concentrazione e cantare lì sopra, la sfera oscillava tantissimo!
