Hey man, what you do is really awesome, you seem to know your stuff and you were right about my lows! I do no vocal fry at all though, everything I do is all false - the highs are belted and pushed out very loud. The faster I make my vocal folds vibrate the cleaner sound I get in the scream, plus controlling the air by pushing it up into my nasal cavity for the extra high ones! I know a lot of people think I do fry so I wanted to comment and clear that up, I'm all about power in my vocals. Keep this up man you just got a new sub!

Dude. Your work on A Night In Texas is forever one of my favorite deathcore sounds. Your vocals are amazing. Everything is perfect on The God Delusion, basically my favorite deathcore album. I'm sad I haven't kept up with your other stuff. Just needed to tell you this lol. I found that album at the start of my deathcore discovery and not much has topped it.

That wouldn't actually be too hard. The song itself is divided into 4 sections already so 4 videos could be done reviewing the song and it would be rather manageable.

Since it ended with a long low, maybe try “Father of Abomination” by Mental Cruelty. There’s a massive guttural in there.

i know you said you’d check it out, but Behold The Kingdom Of The Wretched Undying by Infant Annihilator really does deserve its own video! such a beautifully written piece instrumentally and vocally, Dickie gives the song so much room to breathe instrumentally and at the same time delivers an unrelenting assault of vocals along with the multiple guest spots. song is near perfect, i think you’ll love it

ok so firstly great video. you are the first vocal coach I've seen consistently react to videos on metal with harsh vocals so props for that. secondly my inexperience is probably showing since I tend to dislike songs that purely use harsh vocals compared to clean. unless the instrumentation is the primary focus. (a la Archspire) but how would you define good harsh vocals (or at least well performed in terms of technique). compared to those considered bad? My first example would be Tommy Giles Rogers Jr. of between the buried and me. who's harsh vocals are generally considered the weaker parts of his vocal kit (and considering he has been doing less and less of it if memory serves) compared to his sometimes soaring cleans.

You should check out Deviloof. They are a japanese visual-kei band, and they're brutal as hell. And their vocalist can do really sick shit. I recommend their song, Ishtar, or Torture, Ruin, Escape (there's a really sick vocal transition that I can't get behind). Or any of their heavier songs (because they have lighter ones). I would really like to hear your thoughts about them. :)

Can I suggest chad grey from the l.d.50 era? I always thought his vocals are so fucking raw and my favourite screams from the bands I listen to. I know his earlier stuff probably lacked technique but maybe that could be an interesting learning point?
