Surprisingly enough: Marc has mentioned he isn’t classically trained in the opera art form. So seeing him pull this off knowing that he isn’t professionally trained in it is wild…

@Mike Gorski that sounds as self taught in my mind. No one can get good at singing without SOME form of education. Very neat to know! Thanks for sharing.

I love that Marc was like the Canadian Footloose. His dad was a pastor and he didn’t grow up listening to rock music and had no idea who Queen was. So he didn’t know he sounded like Freddie until he was touring with his band Downhere and people would tell him he sounded like Freddie. I first heard him on Christian radio KLUV and commented to my husband that the singer sounded like a smoother version of young Freddie. Now he’s touring the world selling out his Queen tribute shows! ❤

i was convinced you were going to actually make it to the end of the video...& then that jump back just obliterated all of my hopes & dreams, haha. it's a fairly funny moment, sadly missed by nearly everyone. regardless, been saying it for years now...marc's talent is worth celebrating & reveling in the spender of. thanks for featuring him on your channel!

Marc does two operatic duets with Natalia Krishtopets. There isn't a video though, just an audio version. He also does a number of non-Queen covers - probably the two best are I Will Always Love You and Unchained Melody. But also Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me and Right Here Waiting. As well, he has his own original songs.

I have two suggestions for you Ken! How about revisiting Rolling in the Deep, after Chester's beautiful cover, and checking out KZ do it? She has two versions of this, the one on The Singer anf the one on Wish Bus. I suggest seeing The Singer first, because that gives you KZ's whole package, as she is an amazing stage performer, too, but Wish Bus is stunning as well. And for the other, I'd suggest anything by LiSA from First Take. Can get subtitles using CC. Not much to say about LiSA except that she is world class, sings with such intensity, and has the rare gift to carry all of her emotion right into her singing. All the First Take performances are so good - Honura is the most emotional, Gurenge shows a lot of her agility, Unlasting is the most intense - and they are all just her voice and a piano.
