@absoftitanium this is wrong... There is lot of misinformation about the circumstances of this song. I have myself been there, thinking I knew what had happened, but I was wrong. Brandon Lowry who is "Baby FuzZ" wrote this song in collaboration with Aksel Carlson, Ronney Janssen, Frida Amundsen. I heard The song was shopped around to different artists, for maybe a publishing. When Angelina Jordan recorded a demo, there was no contact between Angelina Jordan or her manager with Baby FuzZ about changing the Lyrics. Angelina Jordan did not want the song to be released, however it was leaked. Baby FuzZ released his version of the song because no one asked him about recording it. later he listened to Angelina’s version and loved it. So Baby FuzZ was unfairly criticized and verbally abused online although he was never approached by Angelina about changing the lyrics. So I think we all should thank him!!, and appreciate the fact that he did not block Angelina’s video....Because he could easily do that, as it is HIS song. You said it!!!! ”She's singing the message of the song". And she sing the message so well with emotion. That's what makes her far better than most artist today. It's not all about belting and runs it's about making the audience captivated with your voice. And this is why certain people that like these artists that just sing beautiful make me think, " do these people know what music should really feel like"? And they make me angry when they say oh that artist is better than that artist, when they don't even know what music is all about. Music is all about how Angelina Jordan sings and it's hypnotic and it's addictive. AJ forever ❤

It was not ment as a cover. It was written for her, but she did not want it, so another artist got it. Angelina wanted to change the lyrics so it suited her age, but the composer wouldn't do that.

​@@artfartzy The song was written (completed with a demo recording) at a "songwriting camp" in Oslo in 2016 and it's also co-written by the same people involved in the creation of _Shield,_ all of which attended this symposium. _Baby FuzZ_ aka _Sterling Fox_ aka _Brandon Lowry_ (the main composer) then tried to get this song recorded with numerous vocalists until he finally 2 years later decided to do the vocals himself. You can also compare Angelinas voice in this recording with her _"Autumn Leaves"_ recorded later that year. You'll notice that she's got a minor "autumn cold" and slightly swollen sinuses when doing that song, but the 'maturity' in her voice is very similar. Ulyses, Angelina wasn't going to win no matter what song she sang. She wouldn't agree to AGT’s terms, so the best singer ever on any tv talent show, much less the global Got Talent franchise, wasn't allowed to win. But, by performing on the show she got the greater world exposure that she needed.

As others have said, I think we need to drop the "for her age" in our assessment of Angelina. I've listened to all ages of singers in my lifetime... she's right there with the best of them. I think that when you say it, you mean, "she is an incredible singer, _and_ she's only 12!"(as she was here) ...but it can easily be heard as "she's great for 12, but it wouldn't hold up in the adult world". We all know that is not the case, and most of us assume this is not what you mean... but this is why it gets pointed out when people say it.

I saw a response to one inquiry that was basically "because it's my channel and I'll do what I want", but I think it is because he doesn't want the argument surrounding this video to build up on his channel.

Thank you for doing this reaction of Angelina Jordan. This is a song that was leaked out onyou tube because this was a demo song and she refuses to sing it ever again .this originally a song from baby fuzz and because of the lyrics at the end her family have tried to block this video because it never should have reached you tube . But this is one of my all time favorite song from her. Her song in the finals ar out now and there are a song from a duo from Norway called trxd where Angelina is featuring with the vocals and ITS so very diffrent music genre than you heard Angelina sing before bouth songs are worth reacting to

I'm still holding out for you song written by Brandon Lowry( also goes by Baby Fuzz), Ronny Janssen, and Frida Amundsen they went to 10-year-old Angelina with it and Angelina made this cut but Angelina's family didn't like the ending lyrics referencing suicide and asked for a lyric change from the authors and they refused so Angelina refused her video. Then the video was leaked, later on, Angelina has stated she would never sing the song again. It's a terrible shame as it could have been a mega-hit.

Baby Fuzz wrote this song & he sent it to several singers in hopes someone would record it. Angelina recorded this demo when she was 10, I believe, but her mom didn't like the suicide & God reference. They tried to get him to modify the lyrics, but he refused so they backed out. Somebody "leaked" the audio against the wishes of Angelina & her Mom, probably because it was so frickin amazing that they couldn't destroy such a work of musical art. A couple of years later Baby Fuzz recorded the "original" that is a decent cover of Angelina's original demo. Exact same arrangement!

Yea, i just well nvm lol, for the two people in this thread i saw who think AJ is a Contralto see this link below, Anastasia Lee is a true Contralto, she did this at 19, she is i believe 23 now, but notice how the range is both natural and strong, if AJ (who is a Mezzo) tries to sing down here over a period of time she is going to run dry on breath and trail off into silence. Lol, this is not Contralto voice, AJ is not a Contralto, she is a dye in the wool Mezzo with a natural genetic stamp for injecting a ton of Soul into anything you hand her, she can go quite low and also wander into the Soprano range to some extent if she sees fit, but a Contralto?, no. Her voice is also going to change again, most likely soon, probably is already happening, i expect it will get richer and heavier with even more emphasis on the Mezzo, and because she works at power stance on regular occasion she will probably gain more there as well but not much, she may get a "little" more access to the low notes as she solidifies as a Mezzo, but i do not see her ever getting regular access to Contralto. Two younger examples of actual Contraltos are Diana Ankudinova and Anastasia Lee, if you listen to those two and then AJ again the difference is quite blunt, Ankudinova is actually not much older than AJ.
