"Million Miles" is the song which allowed me to properly grieve the loss of loved ones. It was the first song I ever cried to, and I wept at first listen. Angelina sounds like she is crying while singing, yet her beautiful lyrics and melody provide HOPE. I truly believe "Million Miles" will always be among her most popular songs.

Angelina believes in her heart love never dies. In this original where she wrote the lyrics she is singing to her recently departed grandpa who she adored and even though he is a million miles away he will always remain in her consciousness and she knows he will always be watching over her. Many angels listening to this drift off into their own worlds and relate to a personal loss in their lives. Angelina's soulfulness is so genuine we totally believe what she is singing about and, Dounia, isn't it becoming obvious it doesn't matter what her age was at any of these recording moments. When she does 'covers', although we know she couldn't have experienced some of the life situations the message of the song presents, she finds the love in the message of the song and relates to that and we emotionally feel it and that's why we become speechless because our heart always take over our body and our brain takes a backseat for a while. Remarkable. And amazing.

I don’t think Angelina will ever be a “Super Star” . Not because of her voice , heavens no. She is the most beautiful,lovely singer of our time. Angelina will never be one of those classless female singers that strut around on the stage with hardly any clothes on shaking her butt and boobs. Just like most of the females out there ( Taylor Swift) for example. They can’t hold a candle to Angelina’s talent but they use their bodies to make up for their lack of talent. Angelina, just a 14 year old in her element writing a song about missing her Grandpa and killing it! The lyrics are most likely from her journals, she accompanied her Grandfather-Japanese-in Oslo when he went out to help the needy! He also told her to never regret what you do and the reference to the Moon is because the Moon holds a very important place in Japanese culture! This was her first song released after signing with Republic Records. Rob Christie is a Grammy winning producer and the director of studio operations at Republic Records, Angelina’s record label. He has accompanied her on piano since her signing with Republic Records. The live version is out of this world, the last belt is still reverberating in the heavens! She displays so much empathy and humility a true role model! I loved her studio and music video versions of this song! However, I like how she plays with the song and the belt was heard and is still reverberating in the heavens, just WOW! She keeps getting better and better. Last year she dropped a six song ep of all original songs called Old Enough. It is available on all streaming services. She also has some Cristmas albums. She has a Persian grandmother and a Norwegian father, so I am pretty sure the blue eyes are natural. Her birth last name is Astar...and so she is.

She also had a Japanese grandfather who was her grandmother Mery's husband and they are her Mother Sara Astar s parents and her grandfather is where the name Astar came from, Sara's brother is Michael Astar and he is Angelina's manager! Like her mother, Mery Zamani, she never took the last name of either of her two husbands, who were both Norwegian! Her eye color is brown, I also like her brown eyes, but both her and her mother prefer the blue eyes from contacts, and I respect their choices! Growing up in Norway maybe they have been made to feel self conscious about their eyes! Whatever the reason it's their choice! Angelina’s father Gerry Christian Slättman is Swedish, not Norwegian. Some claim that he is not her biological father, but I don’t think we know that for sure. Maybe speculation Angelina was born when her mother Sara was about 22. I had never heard that she was married before. I don’t really know where the Astar name comes from. Astar is not a Japanese name so it’s probably not from Angelina’s grandfather. It’s also interesting that Angelina took the name Astar and not Slattman as her sister Juliette did. There are some mysteries regarding her family. Angelina’s mother and Uncle Mike grew up in Japan and the family later moved to Norway. Mike talks about that in an interview. Angelina’s mother and grandmother wear blue contacts so she may just be following them. At the time of this video she hadn’t started wearing the contacts yet.

And characteristically, Angelina has reimagined this song for her first concert AFTER the pandemic - she slowed her OWN original song WAY down and infused it with more emotion than it seems is humanly possible. When she sings the part about never regretting what she does. That line is a direct homage of her grandfathers most memorable teaching to her. I've once read it explained that her grandfather taught her something along the line that if she follows her heart and doesn't give up in her endeavors, she won't regret the things she does or has done. Her grandfather was a humanitarian in his own right from what i understand. So yes this song is indeed as personal as it gets.

Thank you for your continued support for Angelina. Regarding her blue eyes, I have no definitive information but I have several congesture. Both her mother and grandmother have blue eyes. Also the little homeless girl to whom she gave her shoes when she was 6 also has blue eyes. Angelina has put out 2 albums. Regarding Angelina’s releases, at age 8 she released a 3 song Christmas maxi-single called My Christmas. At age 10 she released a 6 song EP called Angelina Jordan-The EP. It contains songs recorded between ages 8-10. At age 12 she released a full album called It’s Magic which was recorded at age 11 with the Norwegian Armed Forces band. The album includes Angelina’s first two recorded originals. Last year at age 17 she released a 6 song EP of all originals called Old Enough. Also last year she released a 5 song Christmas EP. 4 of the songs were live performances from her 2021 pay per view live streamed concert. She has also released 7 stand alone singles which includes covers of Bohemian Rhapsody and Mercy and originals, Shield, Million Miles, 7th Heaven, Our Time and Bad Valentine. Plus she recorded and released If I Were a Boy for Toby Gad’s Piano Diaries album. Her cover of Mercy was featured in the opening scene of the 2021 theatrical film The Hating Game. Her performance of The Christmas Song was used in a scene of a Netflix film released earlier this year. The song Our Time was used by the financial company SoFi in one of their TV commercials. So Angelina has actually been quite busy but there are still several recorded songs that have not yet been released.

A good follow up to this version is the lyric video. She and her grandmother did the graphics for it. It’s Angelina’s concept. And Angelina drew the storyboards for the video portions. It will definitely give you a sense to the meaning of the song.

What I don't understand is why her record company didn't release more of her music 🎶 only a single EP and it's already a Year ago. The fact that Republic Records not releasing more of her material may be behind the rumors of her team trying to get her out of her contract. Regarding Toby Gad, I wouldn’t necessarily say he is her new producer. Angelina began working with Toby 2 years ago. He was just one of several producers she was working with at the time for her album for Republic. In fact Bad Valentine was originally recorded 2 years ago. There are 7 other songs that she recorded with him at that time that are yet to be released. At least one more is planned for release. Whether or not Angelina works with Toby exclusively in the future we shall see.

The first time she sang this live was when she was 16 at her concerts in Norway. She slowed it down considerably. This song is so personal to her, I was amazed she could sing this and not break down crying. Since then, I have been in the audience, and heard her sing this live. Once in Portsmouth, twice at Vegas, and again in Glendale. I have become so accustomed to the slower tempo that now hearing the original, it seems rushed! At Vegas and Glendale, I was lucky enough to sit up close to the stage. At both shows, I gave her the “heart” symbol when giving the standing ovation. And both times, Angelina saw me, and returned the sign. Moments I will always treasure! I like to think that she will be looking for me after she performs it at the next concert! Dounia, I agree with you! She is the next Diva! She is not only a beautiful singer, she is a beautiful person. Her heart has so much empathy for the downtrodden. En mi opinión Taylor es una cantante del montón súper producida, pero bue, lo producido se debe vender a cualquier costo, es una regla comercial. Angelina es otra cosa! Sin dudas, por mucho la mejor vocalista que escuche en mi vida. Sumado a eso es cocreadora de la letra de sus canciones y la música, etc. Angelina no es una cantante de Pop, es una cantante de Jazz que canta Blues, Pop y el género que les parezca. Me gustaría escuchar a un cantante de Elite de la actualidad, cantar en cocheras, plazas, sentado en un sofá, a capela, etc. Como Angelina si lo hace. Si bien la música es un elemento subjetivo, basta con tener un poco de oído para poder diferenciar lo del montón de lo realmente bueno. No soy fanático de Angelina, siento admiración por lo que nos brinda en cada actuación (técnica, creatividad, pasión, profesionalidad, etc. Cada actuación de Angelina me genera un placer único e inexplicable de estar escuchando a lo más cercano a la perfección del punto de vista vocal. Much prefer classic talented vocalists , Angelina is a Master Class vocalist already. There are 1000's of "singers" on the planet, very few true vocal artists like Angelina.

I will second listening to the live version--the last line/belt goes 12 seconds and she begins the last verse nearly out of breath which adds to the intense emotion of the song. This woman could fall off the stage while singing and make it sound like it was written into the vocal arrangement. As stated at least the first part is slowed down. I, among many feel she is best live as she is so close to her Angels that really comes through in the performance. I have not seen her use in ear monitors for her last 3 concerts and she stated she can identify voices in the crowd--one can see her looking at people in the crowd at times and I believe that is why she uses floor monitors. kzbin.info/www/bejne/oKCugpiMl7mbsKc One thing that makes her unique is that when she says she loves the people in the audience--she means it from deep down. As stated she wrote this song for her Grandfather and the reference to the moon is from her Grandfather stating that after his passing her would watch her from the moon and would always be there for her. She did a lyric version with her Grandmothers art and Angelina stated that tears rolled down her face the entire time she was singing in the booth. She has an EP that she finished at 16 and put out at 17 that tells her story and should be listened to in order. The first two songs are videos, the last 4 audio only. "Fire and Rain" she stated she wrote for her fans, "Good in Goodbye's" is about leaving her protected past and taking command of her career, and "Diamond" is an anthem that begins with great attitude. Listen closely to the lyrics when you do these as in my opinion they are stunning and the wisdom in them should not be coming out of a 16yo---maybe 60+ but not 16. I welcome you with open arms as it is wonderful to add another Angel and may I add your husband made a wise choice. Angelina is such a special person in so many ways--the trolls are almost non-existent and most of the individuals that follow her are such good souls and many work tirelessly on her behalf. I think the higher frequencies her fans live in and the fact that she seems to amplify that energy makes it impossible for the bad to exist in it. I wish people could wake up to the reality of the Middle East but most have been fed a myth and are forever stuck in it which does not bode well for that area. I know people who have visited, stayed for an extended time and my Dad did business with a man from Lebanon who sold jewelry. I would sit and listen while my Dad questioned him and from those experiences gained my first insight into what it was really like for people there--most in the West would consider living there a hell on earth for some. I hope things change for the better for all that are there. I wish I could impact the situation positively but it is most difficult even one individual at a time. Great reaction 🙂 You can say what you want about Taylor Swift, she has had and still has an incredible career, but Angelina IS not like her, and will never be. As an artist, Angelina is several levels above IMO. As for this performance. She wrote the lyrics at age 13, just after her beloved grandfather had died. Then she recorded this music video in Republic Records' studio just after she signed a contract with them when she was 14. Angelina will turn 19 on January 10th. I don't know WHEN or HOW it will happen, but when the world becomes aware of her incredible talent, her career will be astronomical. At least if she wants so herself. Two songs from the same concert. While i understand you're point that she has natural beauty, we should respect her personal choices she makes with families input.
