Vocal Coach Reacts to Charon and Dark Sarah - JP leppäluoto - singing Colder AND I Once had Wings

So today we react to JP leppäluoto thanks to the submissions of one of our viewers! This is a bit longer than these will usually be because I decided I would go and do a second song to really show off his voice and my GOD it was worth ir!

Saw him in summer..live...with Northern Kings 🤩 J-P is one of my "chronical" favorites all time. I'm such a lucky girl: born in Finland -the land of metal in every shape and form.

Ah, J.P. Leppäluoto and Heidi Parviainen together, both have such pleasent voice. Dark Sarah is an interesting project.

The wait for this was worth it. 😁🤘 I love seeing people hearing his voice for the first time. Just to point out; the low harmony on "Colder" is also him, just layered, and the album version is actually a little longer than the video, and you can hear the female vocals a bit more. 😊 And I actually also heard "I Once Had Wings" the first time they performed it live, and that gruff, harsh sound is all JP. He is just as awesome on stage. 😊❤️ I would also pay many dollars to go see a DS musical, but only if Heidi and JP played their own roles (Dark Sarah and Dragon respectively; I don't think anyone else would do it justice. 😅 Dark Sarah is really more of a concept band. If you'd like I can give an explanation of the story the songs tell, if you haven't looked into it already). So glad you enjoyed it! 🤘❤️ Now you just need to listen to JP's Finnish work as well. 😁

Oh man I have to say, this was a brilliant experience. I could hear there was SO MUCH MORE to his voice and then I Once Had Wings proved it for SURE! As for the rest of his work, I think I am going to have to do a few more videos down the line so I won't dive into it JUST yet but by the Gods, I want to haha!

@@grieverproductions2022 Haha no rush, just do it whenever you want. The music will be waiting for you. To me it's interesting how his voice has sounded a little different with almost every band or project he's been it, like he adapts to the style of music he's singing. Also, I don't think I ever thought about his voice sounding higher or lower than what he's really singing until you pointed it out, but that just makes his range more impressive. But I should stop because I could go on about him all day. 😂

@@grieverproductions2022 And about Dark Sarah: basically after Heidi left her previous band, she had a dream of a woman in a wedding dress walking through a forest. She wrote a song about that dream, and felt like there was a lot more story to be told. So the woman in her dream became the character Sarah, and Heidi formed the band based on the story. The first three albums (Behind The Black Veil, The Puzzle, and The Golden Moth) tell the story of Sarah and the characters she meets, one of whom is the Dragon (who was originally going to be a one-off character on the song "Dance With The Dragon", but he clicked so well with Heidi and the band and the fans loved their first duet, so she kept him, which is how The Golden Moth ended up being almost entirely duets). The fourth album "Grim" and the upcoming album focus on a new character named Luna, who is strongly connected to Sarah. It's really fascinating how Heidi is using her band to create what is essentially a modern-day fairy tale. Sorry for the info-dump. 😅 But anyway, welcome to the Darklings. I can already tell you'll enjoy it. 😁

The lyric soprano of Heidi from Dark Sarah will surely please you. Please do react to Dark Sarah. They have some interesting guest singers, too. The first three records form one continuing story of a betrayed woman who falls to the dark side. JP plays the role of a dragon here, which might explain some of the singing style. How about Memories fall with two heavy rock sopranos. Gives me goosebumps every time.
