Have you any more suggestions on songs which have beautiful men with the characteristics you describe ? ( sorry! for my crooked English ahah)
@anna.evanna5 жыл бұрын
not many to be honest, it's such an underrated combination! Northern Kings stuff is the first thing that comes to my mind (JP Leppäluoto is a member of the project, so it's not really that surprising), Marco and Tuomas from Nightwish also match the description. If you're fine with musicals, you can try 'A Dangerous Game' from Jekyll&Hyde (Anthony Warlow version preferably). I think it's quite similar to the DWTD - it's dark, full of passion, but most of all it's just a wonderful duet.
@jamesbernadette62165 жыл бұрын
Haha, I both love and hate your description of perfection :D I love it because it is very much on point, but I hate it because those handsome long-haired guys with deep voices wearing top hats make it so much harder for us regular looking long-haired guys who couldn't sing to save their lives and cannot afford a top hat :'D But man, do I ever love these neo-gothic themes with metal music and opera/acting.
@anna.evanna5 жыл бұрын
@@jamesbernadette6216 haha, I didn't mean to exalt anyone here :D It's more about aesthetics and art, I'd just eagerly see more of this in music or theatre. In real life though... if I really wanted all men to be like that, then I'd probably have to wear corsets and spend hours on doing my hair just to play fair. That's not really something I'd like to do on the daily basis nor would I be good at it^^'

Nor what you're talking about And Sir there's no reason to shout (And sure there's a reason to shout) I saw the key but didn't steal (You saw the key and tried to steal) I see What do we have here Nothing Now I know why you're here, you are a mischievous thief (I just can't lie to him) But if you want the key, you need to earn it my dear (He sees right through me) Oh bugger he just... This is how we treat our Guests who are trying to cheat (Took the only ticket I had) So you will be my rag doll tonight, tonight (I guess I have to see where this leads) At the dragon's ball Take my all, I surrender, surrender Look at me and the way I ask for Forgiveness, kindness and help Take my all, I surrender, surrender You will die another day, another way I think we're done now You think so? I have to go You're not going anywhere Why are you making this (You don't know) Harder than it is (I cry on my own) You have the key (In this lonely place) That you don't even need (That is why) You're standing here between me and my life (I'm standing here between you and your life) I'm sorry to say What now? Just get off with your tail Hah hah hah hah Take my all, I surrender, surrender Look at me and the way I ask for Forgiveness, kindness and help Take my all, I surrender, surrender You will die another day, another way Nanananananna leoleolelee May I have this dance Aah Nanananananna leoleolelee I will show you My best moves (Aah, your best moves) Why don't you? I just need the key, I'm trying to get out of here I know that it's a bad deal And disappointed you must feel But please help me to escape Take my all, I surrender, surrender Look at me and the way I ask for Forgiveness, kindness and help Take my all, I surrender, surrender Look at me and the way I ask for Forgiveness, kindness and help Take my all, I surrender, surrender We will die another day, another way... There are so many fascinating details in the video...the sleeves of Dark Sarah 's dress are lace, which one can literally "see right through " just as she is lying for all she's worth- and matches the lace at the Dragon's cuffs. So do her striped stockings (reminiscent of the witch crushed by the house in The Wizard of Oz) match the singlet or undershirt you can see the Dragon wearing in several of the later frames. Steampunk devotees (or recent bridal participants )will recognize the Dragon 's jacket as a tailcoat, hence the poke about his tail (which in his dragon manifestation he would of course possess) as if he were treading on her foot (as if!) is even sharper. There are so many non-accidental matching details that are subliminally telling us that they are a pair: beautiful and charming, covetous, territorial, and dangerous ( was it one , two, or more guys Dark Sarah burned alive- which would probably be a dragon's go-to method). As far as misogyny accusations go, neither party is a sweet innocent, and dragons, male or female, are not generally on the losing side of power dynamics. If I were to find someone literally caught red-handed, with their hand in my pocket, as they're playing with my hair to distract me and singing about kindness and forgiveness, I might possibly react more strongly than the Dragon does. Misogyny is dislike, dismissal, or discrimination against women, qua women. Honestly, as appealing as she is, Dark Sarah has more than earned the hard-line response she encounters, as a person, if of the female persuasion. And the tango, beautifully done BTW, is more a mating ritual than "putting women in their place". There are similar matches and messages in Trespasser, as well. ( And did anyone else see the slightly lopsided heart in the end of the first campfire scene, made of moonlight and shadows, and a subtle one in the rocks and embers of the fire? The fleeting blue flashes from both of their black garments in the early scenes? Dark Sarah's dragon's tooth necklace? ) This would be equivalent to the nuances of great literature. And you see it after your views of these outrageously gorgeous videos mounts into the dozens. I only wish I could give the time of these notes, but I am old enough not to be great at tech. The musical opulence, the vocal magic, the passionate emotion matches the visual splendor and the brilliant artistry. Wow! The late, great Jim Steinman said, " You've got to go over the top to see what's on the other side." There can't be anything better... but I can't wait for more.

My friend introduced me to this song thinking it would remind me of an interaction our dungeons and dragons party (specifically my character) would have with the BBEG Count Strahd Von Zarovich. I see the two vocalists in the song engaging in some mental battle where both are trying to outsmart or deceive the other. The subtlety of the dance is something that caught my attention. Not only is Sarah trying to outsmart this man, she is using massive amounts of psychology to avert him in every way which is something I do when interacting with Strahd in our campaign. I first try to negotiate, then avoid and finally outsmart. Additionally I find it interesting how the man knows exactly how she is going to react as if he has seen these tricks before. At its core I see this as a battle of wits and psychological and social intelligence with the goal being to dominate the other person.

I went down a rabbithole yesterday and found this song. Probably listened to it about 50 times now and I love everything about it. The part I find the most intriguing is where they're in a flashback/dream like sequence. At first I was thinking that that scene was their first meeting but he doesn't have the blue eyes and looks more human. I was thinking that maybe Light Sarah and the Dragon's humanity were calling to each other but I think it's more that for a moment they're seeing each other differently. She sees him as a man not a monster and he sees her as a "pure and good" person and not just some theif. The thought is broken when she tries to steal from him again.

I can't believe what I've been missing out on, because while I was listening to metal bands Like metallica and Slipknot, and amongst other things, there was this whole other kind of music out there. Of course I'm from American so that would explain it. It's all about the pop over here, not talent. But symphonic metal bands sure out shine any other category in my opinion. I just love that more and more women are being involved in heavy metal and it's not all about them. They realize it's all about the music unlike pop stars. I also never liked Opera but when you combine Metal, symphonic, and an Opera-ish singing style it just creates music that overwhelms you emotionally. That's what I like about this kind of music. The Artistry is incredible.
@JuhRockenbach6 жыл бұрын
I absolutely agree with you! This were my feelings when I introduced myself to symphonic metal. It's so damn emotional and dense. The first band I heard was Avantasia and I never get out of this genre since :P
@ГеоргиПеев-й3ы6 жыл бұрын
And imagine the love that a classical music lover would experience when he actually loves metal a lot more but still enjoys opera when discovering symphonic metal...? I came a long path to here. More than a year. Starting with Evanescence, my base, my all-time favourite in May 2017. 6 months later - first meeting with symphonic rock/metal with Within Temptation. Then Halestorm. Godsmack. And here I come to my other favourite (equally with Ev) - Lacuna Coil. Then seriously into symphonic metal - Nightwish, Xandria, Amberian Dawn, Imperia, now Sirenia. And I find this. It has absolutely worthed it. But still this love would fall short. I have and I will always have gothic metal in my heart as my core (logically as I started from Evanescence who have a lot of gothic influences) even though I love symphonic metal and though I'll surely expand my taste (I plan to be an all-genre metalhead) and probably have doom metal as another favourite subgenre.
