The belted high notes are much more impressive than the 1 second ones. The Avril and Zayne clips are the type of clips I was wanting to hear. Another great one is Kelly Clarkson singing Natural Woman on American Idol when she was a contestant. I have that moment on VHS tape somewhere because I used to record the show to watch later. That was my favorite moment from season 1! Then of course you have Ariana Grande and Mariah Carey doing their whistle notes.

This is a really bad compilation. Most of those notes aren't their 'highest notes ever'. For example Britney has a video hitting A5 with head voice, she sounds pretty nice there. Dua hits multiple G#5's in her song 'Scared to be lonely'. I have a video of Sia hitting a C6 live. Jessie J can whistle, so she has higher notes. Avril definitely has higher notes (I don't follow her live performances that much, but as she can sustain a belted F#5 it's obvious she can go higher). Anyway, it's not your fault, nice video, but I'd like people stopping making compilations without doing a proper research.

I watched an interview with Mariah and she said that to her it sounds better being so high. Gives it more of a climax and gives excitement. I know that with Emotions, I’ve usually seen her take it down a few half steps for live concerts. Personally, the songs I make for myself are in my lower chest register lol.
