Tatiana is a 5' 4" thermonuclear weapon. They are amazing live! I saw and met them last fall in Texas. I held Tatiana' hand (shook lol) and had my arm over her left shoulder for a photo. She is breathtakingly beautiful in person and super kind and friendly too. The whole band are friendly. I gave Tatiana a Cookie Monster T-Shirt and explained why. For this 54 year old rock musician , Jinjer is my fav band from the past 20 years. 🤘

'I know I need to focus on Tatiana' She's great, but Roman, Vlad, and Eugene need to be appreciated too. Each member of this band very much is an equal contributor to this band, and the other three really don't get the individual recognition because Tatiana is the focal point. All I know is, I hope now that the lineup has been solidified for several years, they are together for a long time because they compliment each other so well.

she sounds great BECAUSE of them, its so true. they all amplify each other. i think she steals the show because many people are drawn more to vocals, but she is the only really animated theatrical one on stage. the guys are so focused on their instruments

You’re correct. Tatiana doesn’t use “fry”, which I think would be the only method by which one would growl while inhaling. She has a *lot* of power behind her scream, it is all exhalation. She herself cannot describe how she does it. One part I think is really cool in this video is her apparent “personality switch”. Watch near the end of the breakdown, as she sings “We found our breathless paradise”... she suddenly stiffens, looks up at the crowd, and her facial expression changes radically from peaceful to intense as she continues... “no, we’re not dead...”. 😎

Thank you for this reaction. I have probably heard this song at least a hundred times, but I have a new appreciation for it thanks to your reaction. Unlike a lot of Jinjer fans, this is still not one of my favorites, but you really can't go wrong with any Jinjer song. For a Jinjer change of pace I would recommend "Beggar's Dance". There is not an official video for it, but it is on YT. It is one of my favorites by them, right up there with "Teacher, Teacher!" and "Who is gonna be the One"

What you've noticed about their song construction, I believe, is directly attributable to the way they create the songs. From interviews I've watched, I learned their method of song creation is for Vlad, Roman, and Eugene to create essentially a demo track for the song's instrumentals and then give that to Tatiana, who then creates the lyrics to go on top of the instrumentation(sometimes assisted by Eugene), as opposed to creating the lyrics then the band writing music to go with the lyrics.

Re the bass: it's a five string which he tunes *down* to A because that extra eight-inch thick string isn't low enough 😀. Guitar tuned down to A as well AFAIK.

I've rarely felt this in-tune with someone posting a reaction vid to the mighty Jinjer - Kudos! :) The composition in their work is what earned them #MyFavouriteCurrentBand status for me. ...and such a variety of sonic textures. ...and brain-engaging angular proggy timings (without apparent loss of groove, which is surely witchcraft?!). ...and epic multi-movement song structures. ...and consistent technical excellence from all 4 of them. ...and thoughtful metaphoric lyrics (particularly impressive given English is a 2nd or 3rd language for these guys). I've a feeling you'd enjoy their "Retrospection" - do the omv for the behind-the-scenes clips btw. Anyhoo, all the best from a random Jinjer fan in Scotland! ;)

And Tatiana Shmayliuk has been doing extreme vocals for over a decade now so she definitely has an impressive vocal/screaming technique . The performance is amazing. But I am wondering how long it will take untill she will blow up her voice..... Showed my mother the video, she is a classical opera singer and she cannot believe what happened. And she also questioned if it was real. For my part.... I like/love it to be real. And I do think it is real. But I share here concern on how long she can maintain her belting and not blow up her voice....

She sings for Ravdina, formally with Fallcie, and guests with Amatory on the song I'll leave a link to. Can't type the name because it's in Russian script and on this one she sings in Russian. She can sing in any style and uses several on this song. Why this song when most of her songs are in English? You'll find out about 1min6sec, in.
