@lokithecat72252 жыл бұрын
Just because someone has a talent, doesn't mean that it deserves respect. That said, if you like it, that's great... just don't assume that anyone else should.
@LudoTechWorld2 жыл бұрын
Really strange how people assume that someone can do something just because he has "a talent". Talent is just a little help, it only means you'll learn faster at start, it doesn't mean you don't have to work very hard. You like it or not, and personally I really don't, but this guy deserves all my respect for such an impressive performance and the hard work and creativity that had to be engaged to lead to this result. To dislike something doesn't mean you can't recognize how great it is.
@divx10012 жыл бұрын
@@lokithecat7225 I don't think that it deserves disrespect either. Obviously you don't have to pretend you like it or even praise it but disrespecting the person performing and the people that like that style just because you don't like it shouldn't be acceptable either. That's for all the people that like to say "this is absolute shit that's liked by /insert any insult here/". Not exclusive to metal at all. I see it play out with the most innocent of stuff, like cooking or even language learning. Many people think that their taste in music is the only one that should exist 😂
@lokithecat72252 жыл бұрын
@@divx1001 That's pretty circular nonsense, and my statement isn't "Disrespectful" at all. I don't expect you or anyone to "Respect" things that I like, but the OP says that it "needs to be more respected" which I disagreed with. Just to make the point, let's say that "Being Rude" is a skill. Maybe it is an unpopular skill, like Shrieking into a Microphone. Does that mean that you are now being "Disrespectful" to my skill? Because your "Taste in Music (appreciation) is the only one that should exist"? Should you be expected to "Respect" my talent, because I think everyone "Needs to Respect" what I like? Or do you agree with my point that everyone should be able to choose what things they feel are worthy of Respect?

I highly recommend checking out Will's one take playthrough of "Of the Abyss", or maybe "And I Return to Nothingness", since in that song he's trying out a newish style of scream in the chorus that's meant to be more indicative of the melodic screams and growls he has in mind for future projects (at least according to an interview I saw). He also described "Of the Abyss" as his favorite song of the EP and the one that best captures their style going forward at least into the next full LP (kind of a blend of the ridiculously heavy To the Hellfire and the more melodic And I Return to Nothingness) I'm absolutely loving your videos and I am absolutely subscribing for more! Thank you for this reaction. I enjoyed it a lot. I recommend the Slay at Home performance of Vintersea, because you will see and hear deep growls, high pitched screams and clean singing from the vocalist Avienne Low. In the video you can see very much of the different mouth shapes and the singing technique. VINTERSEA Full Performance From SLAY AT HOME April kzbin.info/www/bejne/pnLbpGeOiNBnl9E In this Performance you will see the following two songs. Yes! I've been waiting for a while for a vocal coach to experience Avienne, she would be perfect for the Voice Mother.

Not my cup of tea musically, way too brutal xD but I love everything you do regardless, and there is always something new to learn.

HELLO GORGEOUS! I have a little project for you… a little request… a favour to ask you… a mission… should you accept it. 💿 LET'S REDESIGN THE FAIRY CAVE TOGETHER 💿 (Here's a lil video of me explaining all this stuff ft. several tangents: fb.watch/cvSPLUNPmO/ ) If you would be willing to post me a decorated CD for my background, I would be so grateful!! I will make sure I send a handwritten thank you postcard to everyone that does, of course. (Just leave me your return address if you want) You can send me stuff here: The Fairy Voice Mother Ltd Box 119 151 Trafalgar Road Greenwich London SE10 9TX United Kingdom Please bear in mind that I can’t put anything up with swear words or obscenity like boobs and willies or whatever. Like, if you send me a picture of a penis on a CD I would 100% laugh but I can’t put it on the wall ya know. My Nan watches these. Anything else would be terrific 😍 you know me anyway, anything bright and colourful would be wonderful. 🌈 Also I have something for my patrons and BMAC supporters. If you support me on those platforms, and you want me to post things to you at some point please message me a mailing address (via those platforms.) I am so, so, so excited to hear from you my precious fairy voice children. I love you so so much and I hope you have the best week. You can do anything you set your mind too, I support you. You’re loved 💜 Lolli x TFVM

I would like to see the cave be filled with things that are meaningful to you and tell your story. There is a special beauty in your vulnerability.

Well Loll, this has to be your best explanation of what is going on ever. It was your multitude of reactions to this presentation that kept me enthralled for 14 minutes. I will never understand why people do this, but you gave me a little window into the experience. Thanks.

I listen to this song every time I'm having a really bad depression episode with my bipolar disorder. I inevitably end up watching reaction videos to it and yours made me so happy and watching you experience this for the first time and saying "why does this make me want to cry?" made ME want to cry. Lorna Shore and The Amity Affliction saved my life.

I am shocked I saw this. I'm so lost right now with my depression. I was diagnosed bipolar years ago, and when I lost my daughter, I kinda quit. I am doing the same thing. Trying to find a balance, anything to take away these massive destructive desires to end the heartache. I can't explain the place I'm in, but knowing someone else has been there gives me some miniscule hope...
@BookOfBrett Жыл бұрын
@johnjohn37371 there's always hope, however miniscule, and you HAVE to hold onto that. It's not an option. Because when that's gone, everything else has been gone far longer and seems so far out of reach that it's like running down a dream-hallway that's forever extending your proximity to an exit door. Strangely, I just booked a film shoot HOURS ago, as of this post, who lost his son last week and asked if I'd be available to film his son's Celebration Of Life ceremony so his 4-year-old daughter could have something to remember her dad by when she gets older. Even in the darkest time of this man's life, he was thinking of not only how to give something positive and beautiful to someone besides himself, but also the future. That hit the deepest. He still knew, even subconsciously, that hope and the future were still worth holding onto. You are stronger than you know and even if it's miniscule, DON'T YOU DARE ever lose hope.

@@BookOfBrett It's such a cop out, but I literally have no one in my life. No family, few friends, I'm injured right now, barely moving. Not working, barely surviving as a human. I've have worked so hard my whole life. Circumstances culminated upon me. I didn't realize how bad my depression had gotten until it was too late. I'm a college grad who ran a successful landscaping company for a decade until things just got dark. I'm am so lost right now. I don't want an end...I just don't see an out...
@BookOfBrett Жыл бұрын
@johnjohn37371 we never know what life is going to throw at us and the current time we live in is incredibly hard. Do you have friends you can turn to, even one? I don't have many people in my life, either, and my depression puts some very dark, life-ending thoughts in my head on a daily basis but the one thing that gets me out of it every time is a sheer desire to just keep moving on in an almost-self-depricating way of telling my own brain to fuck off. It's almost like two entities living in my head: the one screaming "FUCKING DO IT!" and the real me screaming "FUCK OFF!". I am not the darkness and sadness stuck inside my head, but those are still parts of me I have to live with every day.

Within the first few minutes, completely broke down how metal vocals work. Also this man is one of the most funny, genuine and kind dudes in the scene. Lovely human
