Yes! It’s in Ab here. Studio recording is in Bb. Crazy how it used to be in C when she wrote it! Sounds sadder when lower too. (Also much easier 😅)

I have a theory - I think in general, her voice is maturing and beginning to sound deeper and fuller and all around better controlled. But i've noticed she reverts back to the lighter/pop sounding vocals in big performances, maybe correlated with nerves? Lets be real - i'd want to pee my pants if I was singing for the Grammy's. But for more controlled environments - like her movie, or the tiny desk set list and the mtv appearance she sounds more in control of her vocals. I've definitely experienced this depending on where I was performing.

That was lovely!! Can we appreciate how much air control she had at the beginning to sing in that wonky sitting position 😳?! It’s not like she’s upright on a stool or piano bench, she’s kinda folded up inside the car seat & that is NOT optimal for good diaphragm use but she pulled it off beautifully IMHO. 🤗

There's no doubt that she's an incredible singer, but look at that stage presence. Some people just have it and Olivia has it. When she performs it's like mesmerizing. You can tell how much she feels when she sings. She's completely in the moment and the emotion is there. Reminds me of Taylor. She's always been an incredible performer as well. I know Olivia is going to shine just as bright and one day she'll be artist of the decade too. I just hope she doesn't have to struggle as much as Taylor did. As much as I love Olivia and think she's incredible, my loyalty will always be with Taylor. I've listened to her growing up and she was such an influential person to me. It's so lovely to think that young kids and teens now have Olivia to grow up with. She will be their idol and they'll have a sentimental bond with her and her music.

I have a theory that she sings lighter in bigger more nerve racking performances because her mouth is drier due to nerves where as she's far more calmer in more controlled atmospheres (I.e her movie) and is able to take time in making her voice fuller and louder
