I heard that she was sick during this performance, but in my opinion this was literally her BEST PERFORMANCE EVER!!
@ananyasahay2 жыл бұрын
yeah youre right! she's currently on tour and shifted a date to be at the grammys and the show before that , she talked about having a sinus issue and not being able to sing very well and asked the audience to sing loud for her. Nevertheless she still killed it at the grammys !!

This is why I’d always argue that billie is more of a performing artist, rather than a recording artist. Watching other artists extremely choreographed performances vs her on the stage by herself (and with finneas) is so so cool

The man on her shirt is Taylor Hawkins, the legendary Drummer of the Foo Fighters (and previously Alanis Morissette) who passed away on March 25 at the age of 50. He also had solo projects where he sang, he had a beautiful voice. Rest in Peace ❤️. Dave Grohl (the singer of the Foo Fighters and Taylor's best friend) spoke out about how great he finds Billie Eilish a few times and his daughter Violet, also a singer, loves Billie so I guess that's why she payed tribute.

literal goosebumps on that high note! Ithink you're right about her giving herself a little break with the playback before she goes for the high note. Also If I'd had my way this would have taken home song of the year. Thanks for another video Tristan!
@logiegirl042 жыл бұрын
Completely agree about the playback. I thought the same thing when I first watched it. It’s a smart choice though, there are so many layers in that section anyways, she likes to jump around and be active, and she was able to preserve her voice for the high note. Some singers aren’t that great live so they cover their real voice while others like Billie use it strategically to enhance their performance
@janosojca92862 жыл бұрын
the part where she uses playback is where there are many vocal layers in the original track aswell. I think she does it cause otherwise it would sound a little empty or quite where it cutally has to build up to the hightnote. so it's more of a stylistic choice to round up the volume arragement. thats at least what i think.

Billie Eilish Became First Oscar Winner Born in 21st Century With ‘No Time to Die’. If she had won song of the year, she would have been first to win 3 years consecutive. I can't believe she didn't win. Frank Sinatra, Roberta Flack, Steve Winwood, Post Malone and Billie Eilish are the only artists to receive 3 consecutive nominations for Record of the Year. I think she has them running scared with her amazing brother Finneas.

To me, she should have won at least 2 grammys. There would've been backlash if she won even one award. I'm disappointed she didn't go home with one, but relieved she didn't win. Could you imagine the hate she would be getting? Can't make everyone happy. I know that my ears are happy when I hear Billie's songs.

Really enjoyed this with you. What I like about this version is just what you noted...how much FUN she is having! Also, I love seeing live performances but don't enjoy concert performances because of the singing along and other noise and distortion from huge concert venues. To me this is the best of both worlds. Still, I will always be glad I saw the official music video before this, so I would get all the nods to the video. Thanks for the fun.
