Tara thanks for your critiques, totally on point. I love that you are critical as you need to be to share what’s going on and how your viewers can do better. But also major props to you that you can actually sing it right there and articulate what could be better. Showing us how it’s done instead of only telling, HUGE props to you. I never review any videos, just thought you deserved the compliments. Keep up the great work!

Lianna Carnell T has an underbite. so it’s interesting that she didn’t realize that. So it’s a natural tendency that she should be adjusted. Also playing the guitar and singing. I do that for comfort and stability. So it’s amazing how natural tendencies are so I’ll advised. Lol.

From one vocal coach to another, I’m gonna be honest: you have restored my faith in these “vocal coach reaction” videos. I absolutely adore Tori (you can see my cover & tutorial of her doing “don’t you worry ‘bout a thing” if you don’t believe my loyalty) but you are spot on with her jaw issues. It’s funny how that kind of thing becomes a style. I think you had excellent insight and I’m a subscriber. ❤️ I think you would agree that the thing that draws us to TK is her tone mastery and variety. She uses it like paint on a canvas. Thanks so much! Enjoyed your review!

It's refreshing to watch another vocal coach as a vocal coach myself who really knows their technique. There are so many vocal coaches out there that really don't know how to help singers be healthy and just 100% focus on style neglecting the vocalist's vocal health. Keep doing what you're doing.
@inesdurand47236 жыл бұрын
Hi! I just want to say that I'm amazed at the detail and meticulousness of your advice, and how you explain exactly what is going on in the piece and how it could be improved (I never thought THE Tori Kelly would still have something that could be improved on O.O shook). I have to say, I've watched A LOT of videos on singing techniques and advice on singing etc, but I have never seen a coach do this level of in-depth analysing, careful listening and, most importantly singing it out (ikr?!) to demonstrate what the 'improved' version is like in real practice. I love how you guide us through it with no nonsense, was theoretical and showed us the practical side at the same time...all in all amazing breakdown. Subscribed immediately.

I am amazed that after watching one PTX reaction video from you that I am now addicted to your critiques. I watch singers more closely now to see how they use their instrument and if they are practicing good technique or not. On one of your reactions, I really liked how you talked about the "cost" of stylistic choices and once you've used up your quota for the day, you have to let your voice rest. Smart advice and a great analogy which brings an understanding as to why a good vocal coach is so important to a singer. Thank you for your reactions.

This is the 2nd video I have seen you react to and once again, I am very appreciative. For all of those who think you are trying to tell Tori HOW to sing, are most likely individuals who don't sing as a profession. As a singer, I appreciate what you're sharing because singing has different styles and techniques and you are educating us. Tory can pull this off but for myself, I would strain my voice and it would not create the sound that Tori does because Tori is Tori. Thank you again Miss Tara! Well done.

Glad to have found this. I miss singing do much and haven't done so since I was about 19. (As far as daily, or as I used to do and just singing anywhere and everywhere. 😄 I just turned 42 in May and I miss my singing do much, but a few things... 1. When I heard Miss Tori...I caught myself slowly trying to sing again... even though I am sorely out of tune, 😉, it felt nice to watch and realize I could still sing along with her in this song. BUT MOSTLY, I am so happy to have found such a competent vocalist and musician with this instructor. Last year my daughter who turned 13 years old the 22, 08/22, came to me many times concerned about her voice. She would say things like, "Mom, I think I sing 'funny'"...or she was too embarrassed to sing in front of me. Finally, I got her to do so and my jaw just dropped. Yes, YES! I KNOW. She's my daughter, but I actually try to be even more critical and honest with her. I realize what she was talking about. She sings with a soul that you just don't hear in a kid, but unfortunately, she needs coaching. A lot of it. I was so frustrated. In school, she gets a little, but the teacher tends to pick favorites instead of trying out all her students. (And I did try to be fair towards her teacher, telling my daughter that sometimes the teacher isn't showing favoritism, she just knows what she hears and what she needs So, I went looking for other ways to help polish my daughter's talent. Yes, I sang. I was even offered a full scholarship, but my problems were always that... 1. I couldn't read music, I was by ear. 😭 2. I always seemed to have trouble finding my pitch if I was put alongside someone else who sang the melody. "Sigh" It may have helped back then to have known I had severe ADHD and mild dyslexia. Maybe that complicated things. So, I'm just not educated in the way she needs, but I still recognize talent when I hear it. Hopefully, I can let her learn from this coach. (An oh my gosh, sorry for such a giant post! I'm just really that happy to find what my kiddo has needed. lol)

Tara really appreciate your professionalism. At first I thought you were judging and criticizing but further noticed your counting and appreciating her plus points. Thanks to that. The most important part in her singing is the Spiritual depths. The lyrics , it's meanings , and her engrossing in those words are considered more important than the singing professionalism. If you have experienced the GRACE of God you will surely be in a good position to except.. Thanks and God bless.

I really like your reaction videos, they're so respectful to the singers but also very informative and helpful. My guess is that one half of the viewership for these videos are fans of the artist/song and the other half are singers who want to improve so you're doing a great job of creating a fun video to watch for both. There's two videos I would love to hear your opinion on and that's 1. Demi Lovato, Stone Cold (live at Billboard Women in Music) 2. Sam Robson, Pocahontas - Colours of the Wind (He's not singing live so idk if that's an issue but I just think this dude and the acapella arragements he does are amazing)
