was a song that was on Jungkook's mixtape. Big Hit received an offer to do an OST for a Japanese movie, and several candidate songs were created. that Jungkook created was the last song to be nominated. However, it matched the mood of the movie so well that it was decided to be made into an OST. After that, we added a rap part and completed it. This song was Jungkook's song from the planning stage. Jungkook is an emotionally outstanding composer! Please also focus on the harmonies that Jungkook puts in each song. He is an excellent singer.

Japanese tracks really highlights Tae and Jin's vocals and fans notice that. They are also in the vocal line and deserve sometimes that we name them

I love this song and it never fails to hit home in my heart The blending of high notes just levitate my soul especially Jin and Jimin. If I remember correctly Jungkook said he is inspired by anime music, which is probably why both this song and Film out have a movie score sound to them. At the time he wrote it, it was supposed to be on his mixtape, but then they decided to use it for a Japanese movie. Im sure he must have written it korean originally and then gotten help with translating it into Japanese.

Except JK is not the only songwritter credited. In all likelyhood JK never made a full song but had major pieces of one, *maybe* not even with lyrics or only partly with them. This bit was changed and worked with others for "Your Eyes Tell" I believe. But "Film Out" was actually begun by a (famous) Japanese group/artist first and than worked with JK.

It always amazes me that there are so many “Army” who jump at the opportunity to belittle JK’s contribution to his music. U don't witness these “Army” refer to RM or Suga as co-writers or co-producers, & I have never seen one of them speculate that one of their songs would “in all likelihood” only be able to be completed by others, rather than others just contributing to the whole. @@ruthfischer7615Why do I sense that you’re trying to downplay JK’s abilities. Why bother to speculate what it was originally? It’s obvious if it was originally intended for JK’s mix tape, lyrically it most likely would suit the movie less than if it was tailored. “Your Eyes Tell” was re-worked in conjunction with others when it was chosen for the movie and only after JK had read the movie script and saw some movie clips. JK contributed significantly to “Film Out”. Iyori Shimizu states specifically that there were many exchanges with JK; particularly JK’s suggested new melody. Check all their songs and you’ll see most, if not all, have other writers and especially producers. Even people like Adele and Taylor Swift have credits to other people on their songs for lyrics and production.

I think Jimin and Jin really shine in Japanese songs. Jin obviously can belt and I love the tone he gets in Japanese, and somehow Jimin’s beautiful unique tone takes on an even more unique feel and shimmering tone when he sings in Japanese. It blew me away the first time I heard them sing in Japanese and it’s carried through the other Japanese songs. JK participated in writing the song with another group. The rap line wrote their verses.

I absolutely love this beautiful song & how it uses the vocal line's voices - especially the part in the 2nd half where it starts with Tae & goes up through them & their 4 registers- gives me goosebumps every time 🤩. Poor TaeTae wasn't feeling well with bad stomach ache and yet he sang like that! Crazy! 🥲 Fun fact - the film it was adapted for (originally Jk intended it for his 1st mixtape) had a character whose sight was going, hence a lot of refs in the lyrics to colour vs monochrome 🙂Thanks for reaction guys 😊

The song was for a Japanese movie. All of them speak Japanese. Japan has the second largest music market so K-pop artists release Japanese versions of their Korean albums. I love it. It’s so high, but I know how they do it. The group’s main producer PDogg tends to write songs that require then to sing higher. Jimin said Pdogg’s instructions are clinch your butt cheeks together and sing higher.

I don't think any of them are fluent in Japanese (with an exception possibly being RM). When I watch their Japanese DVDs and they're talking to ARMY or prepping, it's very, very basic (like, there are no English subs, but I can understand them with my elementary school level Japanese, so that's saying something bc I swear my Japanese is the worst). That said, Japanese and Korean are very similar languages, so it's easier for them to probably figure out. When I took it in college, two of my classmates were Korean and they were surprised at how quickly they could pick it up. The sentence structure is very similar and some words obviously have the same origin (senpai/sunbae (an older classmate/senior), kaban/gabang (bag), etc). I would liken it to maybe a Spanish and an Italian speaker meeting (not as close as Portuguese to Spanish).

@ivettetk5358 My apologies, there is a difference between bilingual and fluent, though I was using them as synonyms here. Fluency requires that "a speaker can speak a language with ease and near perfection, similar to a native speaker. They can also read and write in the language with advanced skills." Which is why I still say no member of BTS is fluent in Japanese. At the very best, V might be at a medium level but no way advanced and thus not fluent, and that's ok. It's still impressive. The only member I think that is fluent in any other language is RM in English, as he reads advanced college level books in English and he can speak/understand it pretty quickly and even he admits to struggling when he hasn't used it for a while.

When the say it's a JK song I think the refer to the melody, maybe most of the song writing. the lirics are not by him, and the rap parts are written by the rappers. I'm yet to see a Bts song all done by one person.

Your eyes tell at least was all mainly done by JK since it was for his firat mixtape which was done mostly by his own. The director of the movie himself said he listened to that and immediately asked Jk to please make it the ost for his movie😅 So, the new arrangements were done by other musicians but the whole melody and most of the writing was for sure from JK. So, at least the credits for YET are by JK 👏🏻
