Always such a delight to see artists that one likes and respects, in conversation. They so often demonstrate that not only are they exceptionally talented but that has to come from somewhere, has to be nurtured and then maintained. Floor is such a natural at this and Matt is a great subject for this episode. I'm not overly aware of Trivium's music, but will have a good listen.

Thank you for a great Floor Finds. It was so interesting to hear you two talk about how you work with yourselves and your brains - to get the brain make your voices work the way you wants. I believe you both have a huge insight in how you function - giving the "computer" the right kind of juice to function properly, keeping the "trolls" / disturbence away. Also the part about recharging 👍 It's so inspiring to hear how others do, to keep the focus and ability to perform intact. That ability is used in so many ways, from complexed engineering, heart surgery, motivation of human resources - and to our children!! - and to all kinds of hobbies. I honestly think this was your best episode, because you both went so deep, showing your individual differences and similarities in how you maintain yourselves. Thank you - that was so inspiring 👍

I recognize being in a flow state myself. Mostly in video games. I would personally describe it as "being active and relaxed at the same time, where your muscle memory takes front and center in your consciousness instead of your thinking mind". In video games it's usually while doing something semi grindy, where you just dodge and hit things without thinking or really paying much attention, that I'm very familiar with. In sports, like table tennis, when in a flow state the bat will feel like it's twice the size of normal and things are easier to do, because you're just in the zone and seem to have a solution for almost everything.
