Vocational studies would only get you M1 VISA. You'd be a non-immigrant and would be restricted from working in the country except your school place you on paid internship in your second year which is not guaranteed. Thirdly, extending your stay with a M1 VISA is very difficult. In most cases, you'd have to return to your home country after studies and apply afresh for a work permit with your Vocational or Diploma certificate. Where's the money to go through all these

From my research, Portugal doesn't give Mi visa, they give D2 visa as long as the course is above 3 months. You just have to make sure to have a job before your TRC expires.

You can't start visa process till after embassy verify your WAEC certificates. Note: if you are using GCE WAEC U need to present your SSCE WAEC that you truly finish secondary school. I was even ask to present continuous assessment from SS1 to SS3
