My friend, NOW you know Voctave. I’ve seen them 6 times in concert and am amazed every time. No studio magic here. All exactly as they sound live. You are absolutely correct when you say it is, literally, life changing. I am sO glad that you GET IT.

I truly enjoyed watching your reaction to this amazing performance. I respect that you have a reverence for great vocal music even though you aren't formally trained. By the way, the lyrics to this song were written by Mark Lowry -- that's why his performance is so captivating.

It is tremendous. This is done with such passion by Mark Lowry, be cause this song came from his heart when he wrote the lyrics 30+ years ago. No one does this beautiful quite like Mark Lowry, and of course Voctave!!

The lady you called Miss Suzanne is Tiffany, and the other high soprano is Kate. They both, I’m convinced, are Angels walking among us. Both of them still sing at WaltDisneyWorld’s Epcot Center as their full time job. Tiffany started there back in the 80s and her face just lights up when she sings. You can tell this is what she was always meant to do. Several of the members still sing at WDW as their full time job actually, and yes all have at one point sang there. An interesting side note here, Mark Lowry wrote the words back in the 80s as if he was sitting down and having a conversation with Mary. Later he collaborated with his friend Buddy Greene who wrote out the music, and then Mark released this now classic Christmas song in the early 90s. He sang for years with the Gaither Vocal Band (GVB) and was comic relief for them on tour, as well as having his own comedy tours and releasing several of his own albums. He’s like the Christian version of Weird Al, in that he’s made parodies of several contemporary Christian songs. Mark now has MS, so while he still has an incredible voice, he was seated throughout the song. Thanks again for a wonderful Voctave reaction. Keep them coming! They have so many good ones out there too choose from, between all their Christmas songs, Disney songs & Broadway songs, reacting to their collection of songs could take you months and give you lots of content! So enjoy! And thanks again for showing us that you don’t have to be a classically trained musician to appreciate the artistry and magnificence of VOCTAVE!

You should also check out David Phelps, Who was also in the Gaither Vocal Band. Mark Lowry discovered him and brought him to Bill Gaither. Check out David Phelps singing Oh Holy Night on one of the homecoming shows that Bill Gaither recorded.

When you do stop at an awkward place just run it back 5 or 10 seconds. Most reactors do that. Mark Lowry is author of this, the music composed by Barry Greene. I Pentatonix' version first and it was terrific, but Voctave's is like being in the middle of the choir and superlative. Your reaction is good and I am a new subscriber.

Mark Lowry. As in ouch Lowry. He wrote the lyrics and Buddy Green wrote the music. Mark also sang in the Gaither vocal band. Bill Gaither and Mark used to do hilarious skits because Mark is a comedian. Check out his other work

The reason Mark is sitting on a stool is because he has multiple sclerosis and can no longer stand to sing

Mark Lowry is sitting down during this performance because of his multiple sclerosis. He was with the Gaither Vocal Band for years; if you don't know them, you should check them out. Incredible vocalists. He also has some great comedy routines out there. I'll post a link below.

"Exceeded my expectations"? I don't think you were really "expecting" something because you were already being amazed, but in reality I think you may have more meant "exceeded my imagination" or "comprehension" by the way you were reacting! Sorry for being a teacher and correcting you, but "expectations" wasn't sufficient for conveying what you were feeling and what we were seeing! Enjoyed my first view of your reactions. Blessings.

I appreciate your brother, but you did stop it a little bit too much LOL the greatest female voice on planet Earth is Lara Fabian if you want to react to her most popular videos and the greatest male voice on Earth is David Phelps.
