You can see different stuff on darker versus lighter skin... Like scars and under eye circles. There's no concept of aging poorly... Unless they get a bunch of plastic surgery that's not aging well. IMO. And she's super healthy, that's like key for aging WELL. Idk maybe we should stop judging because that karma is a boomerang. This women is beautiful and so so inspiring. Id be happy to FEEL like her at 46 and that's all that matters.

,...it shouldn't even be about a version you 'can't keep up with', as that implies that the made-up version is better. I'd say...it's more about how you feel about your natural self...how you take care of yourself...your skin....and less about putting on so much spackle that you no longer look like YOU...less about you treating all the parts of your face as if they are full of things that need 'improving, hiding, covering-up, lightening, darkening, smoothing, lifting' etc. Women's natural selves are not full of mistakes or ugliness or problems. That's what the 'industry' tells us...brainwashes us...makes us feel bad about ourselves...in order to sell us products....'fixes'.

We all have pimples, acne scars, red areas for white people, dark spots, etc. We are not dolls, our flaws make us who we are! Unless somebody has great scars, was burnt, etc. Something really serious that messed somebody's face, nobody need foundation! That is ludicrous that we rely so much on makeup to feel beautiful. We are lying to ourselves and we aee okay with that!

Special Melanin Star You are correct. That was my first comment. Her mother aged tremendously slower, due to the gift of melanin. If you all could watch this video on the big screen, you would see that she is covered in moles. Miles are age and DNA related. Thus indicating she is much closer to 60, than 50.

It reminded me of when I was a kid, my mom would pick me up and smile at me and you could see the crows feet and the smile lines and it was my favorite thing about her face because you could really see it when she was happy :)) So my whole thing about wrinkles has been - yeah, you smile - you get lines! You frown- you get lines of experience! Embrace your experience of living. And now I definitely am gonna start saying ''Ive earned these stripes''!
