Honestly, for some reason, before getting crushes on characters, the film tends to progress first. It could be my autism, but I just don't know why. 2 years ago, I watched this movie, and only fell in love with the Baron right after he told Muta to "skIp tHe teA". It might be how he rushed to put on his hat and coat. Last year, I watched The Wizard of Oz (1939), and while I did like the Tin Man from his introduction, I only got a crush on him during the Emerald City sequence, when he got a polish, because I caught him tapping along with the Emerald City song. The latter eventually led to me getting a crush on Jack Haley (the actor who played the Tin Man) and living under the delusion that the tapping was an ad-lib. But hey, that's just me.
