Even without the theology implications of prayers for the dead and such, it still contains a lot of important history of the time. I’m guessing the theology implications is exactly why Luther wanted them removed.

I had a conversation with my 5 year old daughter…. Her friend goes to a non denominational church, they have a big kid’s ministry and lots of games and crafts while the adults listen to the pastor read scripture for an hour…. Anyway she loves it and really wants to go with him. We were praying to mary one night together and she asked me “why dont they have statues of mary at the kids church?” I looked at her seriously…. I said “they dont pray to mary or have statues of her at the kid’s church sweetheart, they say it’s bad to have pictures of anything but the cross.” She looked at me confused. “But i saw a statue of mary there! At christmas they had mary and baby jesus statues” I couldnt help but realize that my 4 year old realized the hypocrisy. “I said well i guess they figure its ok to have images and statues for christmas hahahaa but bad the rest of the year.” She goes “why?!” I said “i dont know sweetheart, it makes no sense. At least we have the statues of her at our church all year” she said “i like our church cause i love mary” i was so proud! I got a little catholic apologist on my hands fellas. I think she might be able to beat the Protestant in this video in a debate 😂

I think they're trying to give themselves, their tradition, legitimacy. They have to have this "good guy" vs "bad guy" dichotomy to keep their constituents charged up. the Sabbath is the 7th day, friend -- it's never been nor ever will be the 1st day -- they are a day late. the Sabbath is for everyone, not merely the jew -- many things prove this. interestingly, the Bible prophesied the catholic 'church' would tamper with this Command, they did it and admit to it!

You said the bible doesn't say confess sins to Jesus but to each other to be forgiven, so are you saying I can't pray to christ for forgiveness I have to go tell someone my sins to be forgiven? Cuz to ask christ to forgive me don't I have to tell him what I did?

God is the supreme authority and no other is above Him. He alone can forgive you without confession, but He established it this way. No one is saying you should not confess your sins to God alone, you should. But He didn't establish it this way, instead He wants us to confess to one another. I encourage you to go do more research on why God established Confession. I do not have much to say on this topic and just hope this gets you to look more into this Sacrament.

I'm just new on my spiritual journey trying to find who holds to true teachings of Christ I want to truly follow him and be his son. So far I hear Catholics and Orthodox Christians are oldest forms of christianity. I will look more into this topic

Saint Paul did not only write epistles to the churches, he taught the Holy Sacrifice to them also. So every time you read his letters, remember that he wrote them to churches that held the Holy Sacrifice of the mass.

Is it true that the catholic church changed the Sabbath to the 1st day? Where does it say that saints are in heaven praying for us? I see that the orayers of the saints ascend before Yahweh whuch to me means that people on earth are praying. Psalm 141:2 2 Let my prayer be counted as incense before you, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice! Ephesians 6:18 Praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end, keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, Who is in heaven now? I had to throw away every picture of my mom today cause I just found that’s worshipping. I also had to tell the man that helped create me that I will now call him “man that helped my mom create me”. He said he “understood” I also had to go back to my highschool today and tell all the staff that used to educate me, that they aren’t allowed to be called teachers. I forgot to mention that baptism ? Yeaaa forget about it. It was only optional. Paul vs. Jesus: Who is the Creator of Christianity? I have never found this kind of argument persuasive for two reasons. The first is that it contradicts some pretty important historical facts, and the second is that it contradicts what Paul himself says. I will discuss both contradictions the first in this post, the second in the next but before I do, let me be clear and unequivocal: I do NOT think that Paul and Jesus conveyed the same message in their preaching, or that they did the same way. There was a huge difference between what they taught. There are certainly points of contact and continuity. But the differences are big and should always be kept in mind. Comparing the teachings of Paul and Jesus Jesus preached that the Kingdom of God would soon arrive with the appearance of the Son of Man from heaven. People were supposed to prepare for that inevitable catastrophic event by turning to God and living in the ways he ordained through correct observance of the Torah, mainly loving and trusting God above all else and loving their neighbors as themselves. Those who did would survive the coming attack and be brought into the Kingdom. Paul agreed that an imminent disaster was about to happen. But in his opinion, this will happen when Jesus himself comes from heaven in judgment. The way a person would survive an attack was not by obeying God's law or loving their neighbors as much as themselves. Salvation could only come by believing in Christ's death and resurrection In other words, Jesus preached about God and his coming Kingdom; Paul preached about Christ and his death and resurrection. Christians follow Jesus or Paul.

​@@darrellperez1029 you see the texts of the Bible were removed and supplemented by people who did not know the true words of Jesus. changed by councils for political and imperial reasons, i.e. bishops, emperors, in order to establish order among the peoples, many killings were done by the disguise of Christianity, but not from real Christians who knew the real words of Jesus. How many people were forcibly baptized under the sword, so I don't complicate things. That's why there are now such attacks on Christianity. I as a Muslim who believes in Jesus and who believes that he was tortured and crucified cruelly, and in the end forgave the people who wronged him because there is an explanation in the Old Testament that Jesus will end up like Jonah in the whale. And now I who am a Muslim and I believe that Jesus was crucified and tortured and that he is the best man who ever walked the earth and who is my role model and I follow his teachings but I am not a Christian and I am sorry that the pope is doing what he is doing now some things that distance people from Jesus but that it is not a reason to spit on Jesus as the Jews do sadly
