This video was extremely helpful! What a crappy job to perform, but the video was sanity saving. The only differences I encountered were that I needed to rotate the alternator down a bit to access the lower T-stat housing bolt, and I used a long T-handle 6mm ball end hex to access the bolt behind the oil filter. But I got the overall gist of the job, and walked step by step with the video. Do not forget to replace the O-ring season the coolant pipe and use the grease on both O-rings during installation! Thank you Mike and FCP Euro!

Excellent presentation and a great organization of steps. Yes, absolutely horrible job to do since virtually every step is extremely fussy. I cannot understate the crucial nature of the coupling between the thermostat housing and engine block mounted tube. Very easy to over lubricate the tube o-ring and have it squeeze out of its groove as you join the thermostat housing. I did remove the alternator bolts and pull it aside toward the passenger side of the car. Really benefitted from that extra space around the thermostat, and the lower thermostat bolt was easier to access. When installing the lower bolt for the EGR bracket, I found it was really tough hold the bracket, line up the hold, and thread in the bolt on the block. So, I slotted the bracket at the bottom and put the bolt in without it. Finally, I slid the bracket over the bolt. It should be mechanically sound and much easier. Thanks so much Mike for helping the process work in functional steps. Much easier to plan and execute!

I have to say , this is a garbage job to perform . you made it look good and explained it really well.
