Admire your patience Martin 😂 I had something similar with my garage a couple of weeks ago. Went in for a blower motor change and got it back with the brake pedal dropping halfway down when I applied the brakes. Job was nothing to do with the brakes, what? Left it with them again this week on Monday for an MoT and don’t hear back for three days and he’s done nothing duh! World of their own some of these mechanics.

One time about 20 years ago I got my mk1 mr2 back from having rear brakes done. Paid the bill and went to leave, only to find there was no handbrake. Went straight back in. Told them the handbake lever was loose and not working. Their response. Oh yeah, we snapped the cable. WTF. I even said I understand things go wrong but why not let me know before allowing me to leave in a car with no handbrake? Or better still, fix it. The cables were £10.10 mins to fit. Wankers. So many of them out there.

I’m a mechanic, was it the left hand cv you had changed? They probably hit it with a hammer when getting the cv off.

You'll never get honesty from any formula 1 auto centre I've worked for this company for a number of years as an MOT tester in the past. the people they employ and the whole company ethos is disgraceful, please please do a quick nut and bolt check on anything that they have disassembled during the CV joint replacement as my branch that I worked had a huge issue with so called fitters leaving bolts loose and also treating customers cars really badly like dropping clutches in cars to see how much they can burn the tyres up or slamming cars into gear
