People can sit here and say the mk3 was unsafe but it was the safest Supermini of the 90s it beat all its rivals despite being desnigned in 1994 it wasn't until 2000 and beyond other superminis actually started to better it. The MK3 Polo also beat meany bigger cars pre 2000 too.

@@gravemind6536 but in 1998 both the renault clio mk2 and the peugeot 206 got 4 stars(in 2000) but even in 1998 they had the potențial for 4 stars
