I bought one. Its coming Thursday the 20th this month. Cant wait. Its such a mature car, whereas the previous Polo was a smalll city car. With my budget it was either a good kitted Golf 7 1.5TSI or a Polo GTI with good kit too. I opted for the latter, since the 200hp is addictive and the Golf is an outgoing model.

@Dapdoi Ardon in storage, waiting for its license plate. Imported it used from Germany. Drove it 700km home and its amazing. Im amazed by how fuel efficient it is in eco mode (she says in the video youll never average 5,9 but I actually did 6.0 on my 700km trip, and the performance blows me away. Then again, my previous car was a High Up! with 68hp haha. Im still very worried about depreciation though. Theres none on offer off the older generations with more than 60.000kms and thats a mileage Ill hit within 32 months...

Of all the reviews that I’ve seen concerning the polo GTi 2018 this is by far the most competent. She hit the right note as to who the polo GTi is for and the balance of its characteristics. And of course I’m not influence at all by her voice and her beauty!

Interesting that the Polos rear brake calipers are positioned towards the rear of the car, rather than facing forward as they are in the golf iteration of the GTI

Test drove one of these a couple of months ago, it was a 6month old one, drove nicely, but then i test drove a Golf GTi PP, bought the Golf in the end, just a step above with the interior finishing - none of that tacky red plastic in the Golf.

I love small hot hatches, thats why I picked up 171 Seat Ibiza cupra, which was only 24k ish. Was excited for Polo gti, as Seat decided not to do cupra of new Ibiza, but price tag of Polo gti is mental and comes with less equipment. Fantastic and practical hot hatch, but way overpriced for Ireland.

That new Polo dashboard looks fantastic, its just damn expensive little car. I mean its great when you that small because you feel inside it like me inside Audi A6, but in Poland its just too much money for what you get... At least now.

33,000 euros is around £29.000. I ordered one in the UK with some extras for £23.800 in Reef Blue Metallic. 5 weeks lead time too. You are being ripped off in Eire. Can't you buy in Northern Ireland and save a bundle of cash?

It's almost impossible to get the 90hp TSI engine up here in Donegal. Imagine how hard it is to get the GTI? I'm constantly being "convinced" I only need the 65hp engine.

36k specced up is crazy you can get an RS Octavia Petrol for not much more money with more power more space and in my opinion better looking. Anybody who spends 36k on a polo must be insane.

Wow, 38k for something that looks like a standard polo is absolutely insane. I’ve never seen such a dull “hot” hatch in my life and I mean even VW must of realized how dull it was when they threw a bucket of red paint on the dash just to spice it up! They've ruined the golf and polo series by doing away with the manual option. Just not interested now. Manual makes you feel you have more interaction with car, makes it more fun and exciting. I get why people hate manual on long journeys, at traffic jams etc. But to be honest never had that problem. People are becoming lazy and boring with their motor choices. Edit - It's such a shame as the New polo and golf gti's and golf r are beautiful and best looking machines...volkswagen you tw*ts!
