I was interested in Taigun 1L AT variant, but I have second thoughts after watching this video. I am concerned about the maintenance cost as Vivek pointed out that 1L variant may incur engine problems in the long run. With a max usage of around 10k km/year, I'm wondering if it's still not recommended to opt for Taigun. I liked the driving experience and safety features in Taigun. The other option I am considering is the Honda Elevate. Do you have any suggestions on what would be a sensible choice?

​@@gokulnath334 I am in the same situation. I think, it is possible to get 6 years warranty after getting it extended. From what I understand, most of the issues come up after 100000 kms. Vw says that the routine services are cheaper now. Anyway, it is going to be expensive than most of the companies. I'm ok to pay a premium for niggle free, safe car. I haven't decided yet, but I am seriously considering it.

The "button without function" joke was good :). In VW's defense, it is much easier and cheaper to develop a software that indicates that this button has no function than to develop and mass produce a steering wheel variant without this physical button. (Hardware vs software cost)

So true. I recently saw a Kushaq in red. It looks like a hatchback and it looks slightly dated also. Not a big fan of the Taiguns look also. Especially the back. It almost feels like an aftermarket fitting atleast from the videos and pics

From my personal experience.... I have to say that this car is overpriced atleast 75000 to 85000 in every trims..... And exposing bits are there.... Roof lining is just average... Not expected coz it's a VW... Even Tata punch is having a good roofline.... Tata harriers finishing is awesome compared to this taigun.... The one which I love and many people will love is only the driving dynamics and Engine.... Wow... 🔥 The oomph which is getting after throttling..... Wow... Insane.... But overall I am not satisfied with the car.... Localisation has been done very cost cutting..... And we can't see any german quality..... 🙂

Kushaq 'style' variant എല്ലാ engine options നോക്കിയാലും same anu, fully loaded . 1L (M&A) 1.5 (M&A). പക്ഷേ Taigun വരുമ്പോൾ GT Automatic എടുത്താൽ മാത്രമേ fully loaded കിട്ടുള്ളു. On road price matters a lot.

I might be unconditionally trolled if I post this comment, but honestly I love your reviews and the way you do the chit chat about the car which is unique compared to other reviews where the reviewer would just describe the car, but the fact is that any car enthusiast or atleast me would love to see the way the car looks or a walk around, so my honest request is if you could also do a walk around while you talk about the car, this will be more interesting. While you provide a ton of information about the car, what is shown will orchestrate the entire story very well, this is not a criticism but a request

Designwise, Taigun is head and shoulders above Kushaq. Both the interiors and the exteriors. And the best variant is the 1.0 topline. Great value.

Features logic is simple.... Skoda Vw group needs sales for both kushaq and Taigun So, those who need fully loaded version of 1.5 MT should go for Kushaq .....16.2 lakhs ex-showroom Those who need 1.5 MT in low price should go for Taigun 1.5 GT (Kushaq 1.0 and 1.5 Style AT is now available with 6 airbags and TPMS.....but ex-showroom raised by 40k)

took the Taigun for a spin and it's really nice - the basics (performance, ride and handling) are covered well with both engines. And it's the right size and got ample space inside. But VAG lost their way a bit with the localisation. Ideally they should have asked for ~30k more and given it higher quality interior - mainly the seat upholstery, roof liner, better ACC module etc. And why is keyless entry and go missing from the Highline?? The crossover twins are in no man's land currently!

14:39 Complains about a 17lakh+ rupee car with manual key to start the car. Then there are Macan S owners who paid 1.5cr+ and still need to turn the key XD. VW group in India is a major rip-off.

To be brutally honest, both this one and Kushaq not worth its price and tell me one area where it beats the competition hands down... Shell out 2 more lacs than the 1.0L Highline and get a Harrier(personal opinion, since not a big fan of Korean twins :).. They need to seriously work on the pricing as this does not look as economical when we say MQB a0 IN... They could have launched the new polo here and enthusiasts would have been ready to pay the premium rather than for a made for India model.. Have a staunch feel that their India 2.0 vision tend to derail right from the start.. And Mustang still has manual :)... First batches il EPC warning vannu vazhiyil aayirunnu..... problem was with faulty fuel pump.....they changed vendor, imported new fuel pumps from Germany, recalled all cars and fitted the new fuel pumps....... problem solved

I felt kushaq has better ride compared to Taigun. In bad roads especially. Also gt plus variant is bit more stiff so the horizontal movement in slow speed is inevitable.
