Thank you for this video and the English translation. I was always wondering why I was slow at volleyball and now I understand why and you even gave the exercises so I can train better.

In the next few days, I will be adding subtitles to this next video as well. If you watch this video together with the next video, you will be able to understand the basic footwork in volleyball. Please take a look at it.
I am also waiting for a video on the effectiveness of the split step, the Batsuju step and their combination in badminton. For me as an non-pro athlete, this video says exactly what I have been experiencing with the split step: hard to use, difficult to move forward and backward. Today I tried the Batsuju step instead: stay relaxed with weight on the balls of the feets when the opponent hits the shuttle, then do a Batsuju step once seeing the trajectory of the shuttle. The results are so much better.

@@QuanNguyen-fn7lb Thank you for your comment. Sorry for my slow update. I would like to do my best to respond to as many requests as possible.
Thank you for the video! I find your videos always very informative and helpful. Do you have any experience with kendo? I would really want to see some scientific breakdown of kendo as well.

Thank you for your comment! I have no experience with kendo, but I plan to analyze and explain kendo at some point. It looks like it's going to be a long time, but I'd appreciate it if you could wait patiently.
My issue with your example at 14:00 is that the player does a splitstep for the incoming hard attack, switching into a Batsuji step for the Block touch. While I agree with the advantages and disadvantages in my opinion a good player needs both steps in his arsenal and an intuitive usage of both steps.

Thank you for your comment! Yes, I am of the same opinion. Please take a look at this video as well. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gpTGmIKhhJlrnsk I don't think I can move quickly while I'm thinking about which step to use. I think it's good to do training that can move intuitively.
