Hi, very nice video. At 4.00 when taking of the lid, the small brass pipe the lid sits on. How is that pipe attached to the heat exchanger? At our MD 2030 that pipe has come loose.

Hi, thanks for your comments. It’s like a T piece with the coolant and overflow or expansion pipe attached and that sits on a inner part which the outer ring screws on to the heat exchanger. I’ve seen a few people ask on the Facebook/forum posts about that part. The newer ones don’t seem to have the return part. I can try and photograph it on our next visit if that will help

Hello, it’s one of these www.parts4engines.com/volvo-penta-md2030-airfilter I replaced the original as it was ok but had been pushed downwards. Turns out it’s just wire inside, however I think this design it slightly better.
