VOLVO S40 WATERPUMP & TIMING BELT REPLACEMENT

2006 VOLVO S40 REPLACEMENT FOR WATERPUMP AND TIMING BELT. I'VE NEVER DONE THIS JOB ON THIS PARTICULAR MODEL SO I WAS TAKING MY TIME AND LEARNING ON THIS APPLICATION. TURN OUT WAS GOOD. HOPE THIS VIDEO HELP YOU GUYS OUT.

One thing I've learned over the years, I never put the adhesive on the block side if at all possible, I always put it on the part side. It's a whole lot easier to remove the gasket from the part that you can remove then trying to get in there and scrape it off of the block when it's stuck to it. When I want to hold the gasket in place On the Block such as this especially when it has the studs To help hold it I'll just use a little bit of a grease in a couple spots. Makes it a whole lot easier than next time you have to do it.

Great video. Should of filmed it when you're tensioning the belt, and I believe you have to select the temp level before tightening, otherwise overall nice work.
