Volvo S90 Key Fob Battery Change How to replace Volvo Ex30 Ex40 Smart Key Battery

Here is how you can change your Volvo S90 key fob battery:
Tools needed:
A small flathead screwdriver
a new cr2032 battery
Steps:
1. Remove the front cover:
hold the key with the volvo logo facing up and the key ring bracket towards you.
locate the catch on the left side of the key ring bracket.
slide the catch to the side and carefully pull the front cover away from the bracket.
2. Remove the back cover:
locate the catch behind the front cover.
slide this catch to the side and carefully pull the back cover away from the key ring bracket.
3. open the battery compartment:
you will see a battery cover with"closed" and "open" markings.
use the flathead screwdriver to turn the battery cover to the "open" position.
4. Replace the battery:
lift the old battery out of the compartment.
insert the new cr2032 battery with the positive(+) side facing up.
5. Reassemble the key fob:
replace the battery cover and turn it to the " closed" position.
slide the back cover onto the key ring bracket and ensure it's securely in plae.
slide the front cover onto the key ring bracket and snap it into place.
additional tips:
if you have trouble remving the covers, try using a coin instead of a screwdriver.
be careful not to touch the battery contacts with your fingers.
if the key fob still doesn't work after replacing the battery you may need to reprogram it. Consult your Volvo owner's manual or Volvo dealership for assistance.
