It really wasn't too cold with the warm sunshine. My son is driving the Volvo, and he loves it.

Great video. I have a 2011 XC60 T6 with 171000 miles (I am the original owner) Car runs well without any issue. Never change the transmission, power steering fluid (dealer said it is life time). I do change the engine oil with Mobile one synthetic oil faithfully every 7500 miles. I am not handy like you (admire your mechanical skills) so I called the local garage which specializes Volvo repair. They wanted $1600 to do the job like you did. I won't do it with that kind of price. My car runs well (acceleration quick with ease, engine quiet and smooth, no leak of anything ). Nowadays, I only drive about 4000 miles with this car and I probably will buy a 2025 EX60. I did replace the PCV, fuel pressure sensor, all four suspension systems, radiator (old one had a small leak),and Mass air flow sensor (total of $4000 parts and labor in 2022). 4000 dollars fixing cost for 12 years and 8 months of operation cost is not bad at all in my opinion. My car looks like new (inside out) and runs well (will flush the power steering fluid myself in the near future). I kind of inspected my serpentine belt (very limited view without taking off any part) and it seems ok. I could not tell if there is any unusual sound/noise when the engine running idle since I don't have another XC60 T6 's sound to compare with. Thumbs Up and just subscribed!

I love T6(si6) engines, people say it’s hard to work on but it is opposite in my opinion, especially if you watch videos something like this:) Thanks 🙏

From my maintenance notes for the 2012 XC60 T6: Auxiliary/serpentine drive belt: replace along with clutch and guide pins; also replace tensioner and idler pully; replace at 140,000 km (87,000 miles) on models with VIN codes 90, 94, and 95 (S60/XC60/XC70/S80). Replace water pump at same time. Cost for everything at a Canadian Volvo dealership? $2490.00.

I just called my local Volvo dealer (Northern California) and they quoted $4200 for the job without replacing the water pump!

Ok good to know. Mine has no evidence of leaks and i didnt get the tool to remove so i guess it stays for now

What was the pin for that you removed at the end? Is it just to make install a littler easier?

It releases the tensioner pulley giving tension to the belt.

I left mine as well. Had to rent the tool for drive pulley but successful. Also was there a washer behind the idler pulley? I heard something fall and never found it but really believe it did!

I’d assume you figured it out after 4 months but I had to take it all the way off. I left the lines on it and shifted it to the side while I worked and reinstalled it last

I don't understand that bracket under the AC compressor. On mine, it doesn't seem to come out. I wish you showed that process better, rather than just showing the bracket out of the car. I've removed the bolts, but the bracket doesn't budge.

I think the part changed with time. I had to replace the tensioner with the bracket in place.

Is the pulley between water pump and idler pulley threaded only 1 way? Everytime i try to pull towards me it slips out. Only seems to thread 1 way??? Please help, in the middle of this!

@@grampzquad def a bigger job than i thought. My biggest thing now is the drive pulley. Did u replace the seal on the inside? Did u use the tool to remove? Did you get the seal install kit? Should i skip this if not leaking and seems ok?
