Thanks for sharing this. My 65 plate V40 keeps showing a display for a 0.5 litre oil top up every 2 months, no signs of a leak. I had no idea how to check the oil level before 👍

​@thewiseoldman Mine is the exact same 0.5 lites every couple of months, I'm led to believe that it's burning oil because of the poor design of the original prison rings from factory, which are cheap parts but very very very expensive to change due to labour cost

This is great. Note on the diesels- if you don"t do much or any motorway driving don't top it up fully: to clean the dpf it automatically takes a bit of diesel periodically to burn off the particulates - if not driving above around 50mph for 20 minutes continually the unused diesel is deposited into the oil tank - another reason to change your oil every 6k miles... I had to take out some oil as level was getting too high...warning light

Agreed, I experienced this during COVID in Uk as didn’t do as many long runs and got the oil level too high warning. Garage now know to put a bit less in during oil changes D4 diesel 2016

Hi. In volvo v40 the computer showing pressure tyres in numbers please? I see only all tyres green but no PSI, thanks!

@@zaika_a_a Hello. In V40 the computer compares wheel rotations with ABS sensors. If tire pressure is same, then all wheels rotate the same. If tire pressure is off from some wheel, that wheel rotates differently and computer picks that up. No pressure sensors inside the tire, to show PSI on the screen. If there is error presented, but in real life it is OK, you can calibrate the computer=reset.

Hello, I do not know exactly, but adding 0,5 liters does not do any damage. After a while, you can check again.
