As promised, an under bonnet engine bay shot. 😁 So rare these days. Standard black plastic nothingness. I suppose these days so few people look under their bonnets and let's face it manufacturers and dealers don't want us to. They want us to always being it back to the dealer. Though the manually adjustable shocks come as a, well, shock. Very old school and aftermarket old school at that. I'm surprised Volvo are allowed to do that regulation wise. Safety regs are often based on how stupid do they think some people are and I can imagine somebody winding one shock up on just one side... I presume the same adjustment is somewhere on the back?
